Peter, Viking will serve you better in death matches. Hornet is better for CTF, although Viking can and does play an important support and defense role. You'll get more flags with hornet though.

You cant judge any piece of equipment by anything untill you test it several times in several maps .(period) ricochet is good as long as it is in the right hands, this is true for most weapons

I like how Ricochet bounces off walls, so you can use it to find a enemy hiding without having to face it directly. I agree with most of the comments there that say it requires skill to use. I have a M1 Ricochet and it's my favorite turret.

I can do that with RicoViking at much lower ranks. Rico M2 Viking M1 (M2 in a matter of days)

Thanks... I am going to try hunter on an alt account. Was pairing that with Thunder but since that got nerfed I'll probably sell out and play with the new OP Twins. Sigh.

as i said above things can get unreal with hunter rico combo. for example your d/l in an all gismo match :D

Rico gets a huge upgrade from m2 to m3. I never used Rico m1 and m2. some users said that it is not that effective considering m3 is available at commander. I bought Rico m3 straight from m0 at 50% and am very happy with it :D

 

but twins m2 is good and m3 unlocks at marshal. only problem with twins is that it can get a little boring with heavy hulls like mammoth. it is effective, but boring. but things will change if you combine it with, say, hunter. I saw a player dominating the field with twins hunter.

I was never convinced with Ricochet and had Rico M0 until I bought Redneck and started using it from yesterday...Rico M3 is awesome...already started MU to get it to M4

 

On a long map, it works well with M3 Hunter...on short ranges, M3 Viking....I tried it with M3 Hornet but I obviously lack a lot of practise using this turret and the accidental ricochet would cause me to self destruct too soon with Hornet...thats why this works better with Hunter/Viking...proof from today's battle...this was a team of 3 ricochets and 1 vulcan (Red team) vs so many folks who came and went - Fire, Freeze, Twins, Thunder, Rail...we were able to easily hold out...you can see me using Viking here in the background

Now I have ricochet M2 and i use it with dictator M2. Ricochet is very good if you have good skills. You can kill enemy when he can't see you and don't lose your heal (like ninja :ph34r:). And it have prety good damage!

thinking about my next buy. I have got only hunter, Rico and rock. no other m3. should I get titan/ dictator? and how is fire? I suspect that most expensive and weapons that unlocks last are best, unfortunately. :D

 

any suggestions?

Fire M3 is best for multi kills but don't want to spoil Rico's page by talking abt Fire here...personally, my order of preference is Fire, Rail, Ric, Twins, Isida in that order

 

For hulls, Dictator is sitting MO in my garage and Titan is M2...so I cannot comment on either since I dont use them but I have seen players doing very well with both...if I were you and I was short on crystals, I would choose to invest those crystals to MU Hunter M3 and get a good paint during a sale...once you can M4 Hunter, you can rule maps and the crystals will start flowing in for your next M3 purchase....buying another M3 now, you are probably aware that at our ranks, there are lots of M4s and obviously M4>M3...so you might get disappointed that you arent able to do well after your M3 purchase now...anyways, thats my opinion

Yeah rico is good. I bought "hammer of thor" kit when i was wo1, and "boar kit" when i was brigadier, and now i bought "red neck" and it is good in all rank. Only thing matter is skill and good hiding position. If you are planning to make something m4 i prefer rico. It give too much fire power with double power. Also playing with rico is actually fun, mainly when the enemy is hiding.

thank you @avimin. i also thought on similar lines, but some gismos informed me that fire, rico and twins are 3 weapons that are good even without mu, out of the box. but hulls sure need mus, i agree.

ah u guys say now that its a great combo  :mellow:

i HAVE been using it since I was 1 lieutenant and used it till I was Brigadier and now m2 rico and hunter combo sucks :ph34r:  w8 for sale to make it m3 since my thunder freeze m3 got nerfed

 But suggest me shud I get

m3 hunter  + m3 rico + nano

OR

m3 titan and m3 rico
