I am not sure why, but people consider this turret "noob". Imo it's hard to master.

It is easy to play with it but it is hard to master it completely.

Ricochet is better. But its kinda hard to learn which is what I feel.

rico is one of the easiest guns to use i find hammer or vulcan / rail harder maybe cause i'm not into those ones..everyone knows i'm good at rico

 

i have only used it from near the start when i started over 2 years ago

I'll agree with Rail and Hammer, but Vulcan is pretty much a long-range Twins with OP Impact Force.

Vulcan takes a lot of skill, and I do agree with the fact that it's impact force is set waaaaay too high.

 

Back to Rico, the New Year's Assault map has forced me to go back to Ricochet M2 since Hammer even at M3 is just not effective for anything but camping in the houses.

 

My plan to ignore the Christmas sale and grind through to Marshal and buy Redneck kit is proceeding apace. I'm about a rank and a half shy of Marshal. I am very much afraid though that the current flood of kits into the game is a precursor to a major change. Redneck with my beloved Rico M3 is in the game now but I am not sure if it ever will be again!

It's harder to control than other guns, definitely. This isn't really much to do with the actual effect of Rico on the enemy, but does anyone else think that m0 and m2 Rico look too similar? I might just be a noob, but I can't tell the difference between them from just the shot

IT takes a long time to get to the commander rank, and thats when rico m3 is unlocked. So, before i reach that rank, every other tanker will already have m3s before i get my m3 rico. What gun should I m3 before I get m3 Rico? I use viking and can someone please tell me what other gun would fit the playings style of a rico- viking user?

if u upgrade your m2 it will be a m3 beginner rank or buy one of the kits when you can and it will be m3 before others also when you get m3 upgrade and do it like there's no tomorrow cause when you get to be  a marshal then you will have m3/ m4 like a gizmo

Isida.

 

It's an early unlock M3 and it dominates battles. Furthermore it remains useful through to Generalissimo, which is unheard of for any other early unlock turret.

 

Forget the "Viking is too slow for Isida" naysayers. Viking is a workhorse. Once you start self healing with Isida and Viking you're practically indestructible.

 

And Isida is fun to play.

 

And Isida is a coin machine. You will rank and earn crystals faster. Rico M3 will be yours before you know it.

Only to aim, vulcan was the worst thing to happen to his game, it spoils the balance completely

 

 

ricochet in 3 shots (balls) damage 315 or more. is impossible but kill my dictator in 3 balls.~

 

because he can do damage so strong?

 

and sometimes the shots nor touches my tank and do the same damage!

 

or are using some hack or else I do not know.

 

fodase 3 shots makes damage more than 315

Must have been m4 and on double damage, max damage is 38 per ball, on double damage that would be 76, it would have taken 4-5 shots but of course its damage is not 100% accurate

I'm about knee deep in my grind through General. Battles are really hard to find now that the New Years event is over. tanki has started defaulting me to EN1 where there are maybe four battles to choose from. EN2 is still good yet swarming with Gismos. I've started playing RU servers just to find battles I can compete in.

 

And I've seen a fair amount of my fellow forum poster Pizzaslad.

Please don't just say "ricochet sucks" or things like that, it's useless and practically flooding. (you're probably thinking that about this comment, but anyway.) Has anyone got any suggestions as to how to best fight ricochet?

I think you should pick whatever hull you would use with railgun and thunder and find a good spot and fire away, or if your more aggressive and gutsy go to the enemy base and bounce rounds off walls all over the place

Update- I played a bit last night but only managed to earn about 2.2k XP. I can probably double or triple that over the weekend, but I don't think that's enough to get me to Marshal before this kit expires. I'm also getting kind of bored with the same battles in the same maps day in and day out. They are

Noise CTF

Kungur CTF or DM

Polygon DM

Island CTF

Sandbox CTF

I find ricochet really annoying as a good player can follow my movements. Please explain why it's so terrible as it can beat my thunder in a head on duel.

A ricochet is annoying to you because of its high knockback abilities. If you aim right for the corners when someone is aiming at you, you can knock the firing to another direction missing the defender.
