No worries. M2 Rico is very good but even with MUs you need a 'bridge' turret to tide you over to M3. M3 Rico unlocks so late (Commander), that the M2 gets pwned by the other M3 turrets north of Brigadier. I used Hammer M3 and liked it, but was happy to pick up Rico M3 in Redneck kit at Marshal.

I get accused of being a buyer all the time since I have purchased two M3 kits.. Jackhammer and Redneck. I'm not... I just saved my battle fund and mission crystals.

+1 to that. I try to play atleast 15mins a day for dailies. I usually earn 10k a week when I can make the 15 mins count

Yep... I usually play about two hours a day. Enough to do my missions and grind through a couple of death matches or CTF/CP battles for fun. My income is about 50/50 missions and battle funds. A couple of weeks or a month of that and you're ready for some big purchases.

+1000 I made 100k crystals from 1st lieten to Capitan. I got lucky and got this 1.5k mission x 3 80% of the time. I got the premium missions too so my luck was good.

That 3-hour Premium Mission reward is just insane. Grinding through battles during those three hours, I can usually pull in about 10k crystals.

And happy 170th!

Is there a rank when these premium missions unlock or are they available for all ranks?

Not that I am aware. My assumption is that is is in the mix with all the other mission rewards.

And Rico may be the only M2 where it makes sense to MU to M3 equivalency. Commander is a ridiculously late unlock for this turret. You get exactly one (albeit long) rank to enjoy and MU M3 Rico before you MUST battle Gismos. There should be a rank between Commander and Gismo where you can polish your garage before dealing with all M4 all the time. I know there is some equipment that unlocks at Gismo, which IMO is utter nonsense.

Ever since i bought rico, ive been using it, and i love it.It took some time to get used to it,but overall its a funn gun.

Btw which is better, smoky or rico [both M2]

And, is rico hornet a good combo? I seem to have an idea it might be good for CTF's

Smoky is better. As for your second quesiton, Hornet/Rico isn't very great, Hornet is too unstable for the recoil of Rico.

Thanks for the advice

I was thinking of saving for the atlas kit, since i like using smoky/titan,and later buy redneck when its available

Btw, I was wondering how all the high ranks have a lot of supplies.

Most likely because they either buy, are a long time player, or a long time saver. And yeah, your plan seems good, it should work out. However, I might suggest getting an early M3 ( Isida or Thunder).

I saved for the atlas kit, and then I saved for redneck later. I'm not a buyer, so it took a lot of saving, but I managed to do it in the end... so just to say that I think your plan is possible :). Also I've found both kits were good, so I think it's a good plan. I was ok into the higher ranks using atlas.

Yes, Atlas is a good kit. Titan will get you a lot of gold boxes on small maps, and Loam will keep you safe from those pesky Firebirds.

I bought Redneck and love it! Lumberjack is a must have against Fire AND Isida. I do miss rail protection though.

I was so indecisive over what m3 kit to get, and still unsure after choosing to get redneck.

Lumberjack persuaded me a lot because it's such a good close range paint to have.

I wanted a medium hull, but I'd rather have got Viking than hunter.

And I know that people say that rico is a good m3, but I'd not really used rico before, so I wasn't sure if I'd personally like it.

Anyway, now I've used the kit for a while, I'd say I do like it.

I had been using twins-titan before, so I had to get used to a different playing style with rico-hunter. I think you need to think more about what you're doing when using rico because of having to consider the reload - I sorta miss just charging in like you can do with twins. But I like how rico can reach many places that other turrets can't.

Hunter's speed is good, but it's pretty drift-y, which makes it fun, but harder to control. I think the drifty-ness and instability of hunter, combined with the recoil of rico, means that rico-hunter can be a tricky combo. But that's what makes it fun I think, and when you can control it, then it can be great. So overall, I'm happy I chose redneck.

About an early M3, i seem slightly inclined to gettin thunder, tho people say there are many emeralds in the higher ranks?

Damn, atlas is out. Tanki changed the kits, northerner is the smoky m2 kit currently available .Is it good?

Anyways, i have 4 more ranks to cover before i reach captain, so hope atlas comes back

Atlas will be back. Don't worry.

There are A LOT of Emeralds paints at high rank.

Rico M3 is slightly underpowered IMO, especially given the Commander unlock. Needs a buff to be competitive especially in DeathMatches. MU helps but it honestly needs higher base values. Consider Rico M0-M2 are pretty devastating in lower ranks. By M3 ranks though other weapons and hulls are strong enough and drugs are everywhere, so Rico gets shaken off and kill stolen a lot. I can't tell you how many times I have unloaded a full clip only to have a Thunder, Rail, or Hammer swoop in and take my hard earned kill. I'm a bit worried that by Gismo I'll need to switch to either a high yield turret like Isida or one with no reload like Smoky and Twins.

I try to play no-supply battles, so I don't have to worry about drugged enemies, but I know what you mean about running out of ammo sometimes. I think the damage dealt per second is similar to twins, yet twins has infinite ammo, so for example, if you find yourself close range, with no cover, then it is a problem. Especially as in some battles at the higher ranks, many people have titan and mammoth m3, and possibly with clay paint as well. Twins, for example, because it can keep firing, can still do ok, even against tanks with rock paint. But in closer range when rico runs out of ammo, then you're dead. I know that twins and rico are different, so rico can do things that twins can't, but it can be annoying sometimes, when you're dealing with rico's reload in certain situations.

Right Railgun

No I should have elaborated. Polygon CP requires high yield and quick (relatively) reloading. Thunder Fire and Twins are your best bet. Yeah I don't often advocate for Thunder, but it's effective there.

I play Poly CP with Ricochet. I do okay and sometimes very well. When I run out of ammo, I can only sit, watch, or die while these other turrets keep scoring kills.

But if you can't stand the meat, stay out of the chicken.
