Ricochet turns so slowly that it's hard to hit anything at all. 

 

 

 

I have an uncle named Rick and this thread made me think of him. ;)

The turret rotation is actually quite fast... better than twins and close to isida...

How many shots does it take to kill a titan and mammoth using rico m1??

My assumption is that,titan takes 13 shots and mammoth takes around 15(16?) shots.Can anyone clarify?

Because at M1 the titan and mammy have almost the same health they each take about 12-14 depending on the damage per shot which varies slightly.

Been a long time since I played Rico M1 but I do think Rico's rotation speed is a bit slow. Not like Rail though which is glacial.

For me, it is not slow at all. I find Freeze M3's rotation too fast (I used it on Test server).

I like how you qualified that. Almost as if you knew you'd be laughed right out of the forums for having bought M3 version of Freeze. :ph34r:

 

I've seen Freeze used effectively in CTF defense, but not much else.

I would be lucky to make 1.00 D/l these days,whn playing with colonels,in poly cp.The bar runs out too fast.

Would boar be worth it anymore??Im planning on buying it.

That's not very likely to happen. M3 Dictator has been something of a status symbol for players since the beginning of TO due to its high unlock rank and price (it used to be the ultimate tank). There has only been 1 kit containing M3 Dictator in the past, and that was maybe 2 years ago. It seems like the developers still want to keep M3 Dictator as a trophy for Generalissimos.

That's about where I have mine. It's good, but you still need to drug for Polygon CP and DM games.

Ricochet is good if you have the skills to use it, otherwise you are just going to get blown up. In my opinion,it is one of if not the most powerful weapon in the hands of a skillful player.

Ricochet is good if you have the skills to use it, otherwise you are just going to get blown up. In my opinion,it is one of if not the most powerful weapon in the hands of a skillful player.

Agreed. If you land every shot, which is VERY hard to do at any real distance, you are unstoppable.

It's okay stock, but needs MUs to really shine. With Titan though you will run out of ammo long before you run out of health.

 

The other factor in your favor is that on Polygon, few tanks wear Rico protection paint. Too busy protecting against Firebird and Twins. Clay can be a problem though. The Gissmo battles I've played usually have at least two Clay tanks prowling around. I just avoid them or let someone else land the first hit.

For Poly DM, I'd have to pick Dictator. Rico has a wide cone of fire, which Dictator is best suited to exploit. You'll pop enemies above and below you.

 

Dictator is also good for catching golds.

 

As with any medium hull, and unlike heavy hulls, Dictator will allow you to run for cover while you reload.

 

I see now that there is a M3 Rico-Dictator kit. Damn. I bet that kit is crazy good, although maybe not as much so as Stormbriger.

 

I don't own Dictator yet, so this is pretty objective. I use Viking on Poly DM which is definitely good - but I do sometimes overshoot my target because Viking is so flat. Like driving a pancake. :). But it's tough, and speedy enough for me to get to cover while I reload. I can pretty reliably get top spot, second, or third in non-Gissmo battles (I am still a FieldMarshal) ;)

For Poly CP, the number of Titans and Mammoths prowling around just don't give Rico a chance. You always run out of ammo a shot of two after they press 1.

I think that Maestro is better for the equipment it comes with. The actual combonation is OK. The reason why Stormbringer is more popular because the combination is really good, especially with Zeus and Vulcan.
