i might buy m2 even though i dont have m1, might be worth the risk

It's a good turret. Once you learn how to lead your shots and utilize the bouncing effect, M2 Ricochet can tear most enemies apart. Most players also don't use Ricochet protection, so that's a plus.

I'll go half way in this one. As a Rico M3 user, damage is low and only becomes okay when you get a good number of MUs in... Like 10/50.

The bounce on the other hand is just crazy good. The auto aim in particular. Hit any wall with enemies in the area and that ball of fire will find someone to hit. Much easier and more accurate than firing Rico over open ground.

Then there is reflective cornering... That ball will smack you back in the face nine times out of ten, regardless of what angle your tank is at with respect to the corner. Call that the dark side of the bounce.

So no, Rico does not need a damage nerf. Bounce and reflective auto-aim, maybe.

Why range? Projectile speed is so low and auto aim so poor over open terrain that range is only good when your target is AFK. After the first hit, most enemies move, forcing Rico to adjust aim. By that time Rico is toast from the enemy which crept up behind you.

Rico may be able to shoot long range (only at M3), but it is far from a long range weapon. Scoring a kill at max range is extremely rare, and that range usually means that there is enough life for the bounce to come back and self damage.

Exactly! No Rico player needs that much range. It's unnecessary. It's a short-medium range turret after all. It doesn't need to be nerfed, but the ridiculous range makes no sense to me.

Guilty admission: I have used Rico's long M3 range on occasion to kill tanks who thought they were hiding. I can't hear the splat of the hit but if I am lucky I will see the kill on the upper right scroll.

This is really only effective against weakened opponents or tanks which are blocked from an easy escape by another player

here are some tips on fighting a deul using ricochet :

1-ifthe enemy has wasp, all you have to equip is ricochet and viking (any heavy hull )

2- hit the wasp from the sides(ideal) avoing to get a knock bak by the firing. this will make the enemy fire only a couple of shots  on you as he gets knock backed .

3- if the enemy is using any heavy hull, you should use wasp.use the circling method of shooting at him with double damage. ore else you can hide and when your oppenant is passing shoot at him from the back. when he starts to turn his turret, just move around and fire......... .

4-if he has hornet  use viking and shoot at himon the face . if he has firebird

hit him on the sides. the same goes with smokey

goodluck with the deul and thanx!!!! :D  ;)

HI Guys,

I am wondering if I should upgrade my Viking hull to M1 or my Ricochet to M1, please help, it would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

iam02

Always upgrade turrets first.

Assuming both are unlocked at your rank.

Ricochet first and use Hunter not Viking.

I recommend Viking over Hunter but I'm not sure the differences in armor are relevant. It really comes down to personal preference. Yes Hunter is a bit faster, Viking a bit stronger. Both are good with Rico. But you always want to improve your weapon first. And don't waste crystals on MUs past 5 or at most 10 for M0 to M2 modifications.
