People here would say Rico

Ricochet M1 or Hammer M1?

I like Rico for range/bounce shots

I like Hammer for High damage 

But I can only buy one:( 

 

Plz help me decide

Only north of Brigadier rank, when it has trouble competing with M3 equipment. Rico M3 unlocks too late IMO

A few MUs can fix that though. Ricochet M2.5s are quite a threat.

I looked on the wiki & it does look quite dangerous. And to be fair to my rico m2 it was mu'd quite well (when the new mu system came)

I love Ricochet, but I know my beloved M3 won't unlock for awhile. What should I buy or save up for right now?

I went with M3 Hammer through Jackhammer kit, but I would recommend a more mainstream turret like Firebird M2, Isida M3, or Thunder M3 to tide you over until Commander. Marshal if you can afford Redneck kit.

 

Not sure I agree with Stinger about Rico 2.5. Sure it helps, but as soon as you rank to Brigadier and M3 equipment starts showing up in your battles, you really need to be using M3 WITH MUs yourself. Or the OP Firebird M2.

 

Rico 2.5 is also an expensive investment now. Save those crystals for something else.

 

I plan on investing heavily in my Rico M3 during this week's 50% MU sale.

After MU sale my M3 Rico is around 20/50. Still a long way to go, but there is very good news. I can usually outgun Isida M3, assuming I see him before he's on top of me.

 

Rico still runs dry a lot. I've learned to take a few shots then duck for cover just long enough to refill slightly, then emerge for the kill. I've beaten countless tanks who are wearing double armor using this technique

I prefer the balance and heavier armor of the viking to the hunter. the hunter often cost more as well. :mellow:

i really wished m2 viking unlocked earlier though, im tempted to buy hunter m2 instead. then i remember my viking m1.5 has more hp

A few days ago I went up against a Boar Kit in Ping Pong. Man, was I pissed. I couldn't get close to burn him and when I switched turrets, I couldn't get off a clean shot - even with Spark and Viking-M1 maxed. I mean, I used Rico M1 in the Esplanade tunnels back during the SGT ranks, but I guess the rumors/assessments were false, Rico is NOT weak at M2. Son of a......  :angry:

It's probably because of your ping. It happens to me with both Twins and Rico.

As for your last statement, I previously doubted rico m2 but after MUing a couple steps I found it able to compete with the "m2 gods"

Was that the issue - because I didn't drug? I was the Firebird-M2 and the Rico kept his distance or the wall (remember, this was Ping-Pong) between us.
