distance still poses a problem right? even till m3? but this is good because then it will become like an instant-firing weapon like thunder or smoky, its projectile adds to the uniqueness of the game, along with its bounce effect

It's still quite hard to hit targets at long range with M4 Ricochet, so it's still limited to close-medium range.

Nos with m3 Viking+Rico M2= indestructible. I love shooting from far ranges. I mastered the Rico. It just takes time. As soon as you know it you will be dominating the battle field ;)

Currently Rico M2 is my main turret, and I can attest that it is extremely good. I probably have a 2.5 D/L average with it. It is wayyy better than Rico M1. I can say that I could destroy any comination of my rank with my M2 Hunter/M2 Rico, as long as it is one on one. Rico can take skill, but as soon as you learn to play it, it can be a lot easier to play than the other turrets.

Basically, you need to learn how to aim while on the move, and shoot at other players on the move.  You have to aim slightly ahead of them. You need to learn how to ricochet. I often times play one single map for weeks, learning all the ricochet angles. There are so many amazing rico angles in polygon. Also, ricochet is NOT just a medium/close range gun. I get tons and tons of kills from long distances, probably more than in close ranges.

Advantages:

Extremely high DPS, much higher than twins. Imagine an M1 freeze, but way longer range.

Ability to hit people from cover, and hit people who are hiding behind cover with ricochets. Twins cannot do this, to hit people they have to stand wide open to get hits on their enemy.

Ability to knock peoples shots off; this is really useful for a skilled rico player. It probably knocks tanks off about like a M0 Thunder, though I haven't checked the stats.

Long range; it has way better range than twins; also, damage does not die down to much with range, unlike smoky.

Very good gun depression; it, along with twins, have very good gun depression. Up to 45 degrees, more than any other turret. This gives it the tang a huge advantage in a multitude of situations.

It is similar to a smoky, but more like a semi automatic one; it can fire two to three bullets every time a smoky shots, so long as it has a full clip.

Fairly good turret turning speed

Ability to self destruct by shooting itself, you can usually do this faster than self destructing, if for some reason you want to.

You can do some pretty cool flips in a Rico/Wasp

In my opinion it works pretty well in every hull.

Disadvantages:

Slow shell speed

Similar to smoky, but without critical hits, worse range, and less knock back.

Has no way to damage multiple enemies at the same time, unlike Thunder, Railgun, Freeze, Firebird, Hammer, or Twins.

After it fires its ten shots, it is very vulnerable.

Random Tips:

One thunder shot = two ricochet shots, so when facing a thunder, get at least two shots in for every shot you take.

Railguns are vulnerable to this turret, it is easy to knock their shot off at the last second, and get behind them and kill them.

If you have a fairly high hp hull, you can oftentimes kill freezes and firebirds, even if they start shooting first.

If facing a slow tank like a mammoth or a titan, use circling and side strafing techniques. You will be nigh invincible. You can even use this tactic against fast tanks.

Use alleys and side routes and stealth; attack your enemies where they don't expect, and use your hight DPM to kill them before they can even turn and shoot you.

I think of this turret as the anti thunder. It is designed to kill thunders, pretty much. When attacking thunder, charge them so that when they shoot they damage not only you but themselves. Then you can kill them before they can shoot again.

I have my scale for turrets and anti turrets:

Railgun Firebird Thunder Isida Ricochet Freeze Smoky     Smokies are designed to fight railguns, Freezes are designed to fight firebirds, Ricochets are designed to fight thunders, and Isidas don't really have an opposite.

what is the reload speed in seconds after the rico clip finishes to full charge for m2? And if one continues to fire it a bullet a time on an empty clip m2, how long does one bullet take to reload and fire? Thanks

@snakey123: i really like your stuff, but i was afraid to quote it

most of what you said was pretty obvious, but easier said than done (like predicting the direction of the tank is going and shooting further than the tank)... shows people that it isn't as easy as they think

It takes ten seconds from an empty clip to load to full in a Rico M2.

And if you empty your clip and keep shooting a bullet at a time, there is one second in between shots, faster than in a smoky.

What paint is that in the video?

I can confirm that it was spark.
