and just 1% better chance to get critical.

Yeah but cmon, I've fought agains smoky m3s using my m2 and its night and day.  Those guys get way more criticals, theres no way its only 1 percent more I still don't believe the stats are right for some of the weapons.  Even with my m2 its night and day the amount of criticals vs the m1 (which was terrible).

Recently the description of Smoky changed in the garage.  The last line now says "Remember that Smoky's effectiveness decreases with distance".  Is this true?  I remember reading somewhere that Smoky's damage does not decrease over distance.

Can anyone clear this up for me?  does anyone know how much the effectiveness of Smoky (and Thunder) decrease over distance?

Thank you!

Many people fear Smoky A LOT. Eh, it's not that bad really. . . .unless you're undrugged against a drugged Smoky, then of course you're in for it.

Anyone else feel the same way? Or do you really fear the Smoky. . .

Yes, you have to be fear, I use it too .

No, after re-balance the weapons are equal, but they have their own specials..

-Smoky's special is the critical

-Thunder's special the splash damage

Etc.

But I think smoky is a difficult weapon to beat. If you use a hornet, you need a smoky paint. But if you use a hunter, it's already more easy.

So I think you can be afraid, but not alone of smoky. From all the weapons.. But if you know their specials and have skills, don't be afraid! Freeze a smoky one time, and it's pretty bad. Same for railgun and shaft. Thunder can kill the freeze with his splash damage, and rico by shooting the wall. Again, every weapon has his own specials.. You just need to know them, and find the weapon which suit you..

No, only 2 weapons got special effect/abilities after RB, thunder, railgun, shaft, Isida, twins, ricochet and freeze already had their special effects before. The firebird and smoky didn't, which pretty much weakened them, now they both have special effect, smoky got critical and firebird got burn effect. Don't act like you know everything...

The funniest thing happened to me yesterday, I was using smoky and wasp m1 in a polygon DM, and then a guy with m2 thunder and dictator shot me, so I turned to him, shot him once, and killed him with a critical.

Lovely moments yes;

I once continiuesly fired at dude1; dude2 appeared around the corner, in an attempt to finish me off.

I fired several shots at dude1, turned at dude2... killed him with a critical, and kept shooting again at dude1 after that.

however, a critical hit will not lose damage over distance

FALSE. Tested numerous times, and proven otherwise.

Smoky loses up to 50% of its damage from far distances. Critical hits also deal as much as 50% less.
