To be honest, I like the present version of smoky rather then the old one.

In the old smoky, you could just shoot any tank and pray that you will get a critical hit, but in the present version, you actually need more skills to get up close to the opponent and timing your shots carefully for the fatal crit. If only the regular damage was a bit higher...

smoky is the best weapon ever better than that thunder and that railgun. :excl:

I love Smoky, but I wouldn't say it's the best weapon ever. Smoky essentially can't do anything at long ranges, so you're helpless against skilled Railguns or Shafts.

^ And short range is dominated by Firebird and Freeze.

Yep. If you're lucky (and manage to be facing a damaged enemy), though, you might be able to one-shot them.

For me, Smoky tactics go like this:

If enemy is NOT a Firebird/Freeze/Isida

>Flank and circle strafe at close range if possible

>Flank at medium range if above is not possible

>Don't bother seriously engaging at long range. Always fun to knock a enemy Shaft around once in a while, though.

If enemy IS a Firebird/Freeze/Isida

>If at close range, GTHO, unless you've managed to attack them from behind. If so, backpedal and shoot as they turn around.

>If at medium range, backpedal and shoot to knock them around until you get a crit.

>If at long range, you might as well shoot at them for the heck of it. They can't stop you.

Yeah, please dont. It gets very annoying that you just have to be the last person to post and have to reply to EVERYTHING.

But some of the times your posts are extra. Such as simply posting a face like "xD" or ");". At least make your posts relevant and try to edit them when you want to write more.

I actually think Isida is better on Hornet. The extra stability actually does help you (for once) and there isn't much need or success in circle-strafing. Firebird and Freeze are better on Wasp than Isida.

Gotta love circle-strafing.

I think I once circle-strafed a Shaft-Mammoth for about half a minute before he finally went down. He didn't get a single hit onto me, but to be fair, we all know that Shaft + Mammoth has terrible mobility and rotation speed.
