when they said minimal damage range for smoky has increased up to 180 .. i thought its range of damage.. but its still the same.. a close to medium range weapon

In terms of stats? No.

 

In terms of effectiveness against enemy close range weapons? Yes.

 

Now that Freeze and Firebird have been nerfed significantly, users of those two turrets are much more vulnerable to a skilled Smoky. Since they both do neglible damage at the edge of their range, it's much easier to "dance", and if you do get a little bit too close, it's not a big deal.

after the update i'm getting higher DL with m1 smoky than with m2 freeze lol
