Can anyone make sense of the critical hit mechanic to work out how many crits per minute are expected? (Firing constantly)

smoky has a critical chance at m2 of 17.06 meaning that it is impossible to fire more than five shots without getting a crit. it is also important for you as a smoky user to understand that from m0-m2 unless you are muing for the sale then mu of critical chance is a waste of crystals because it simply will not enhance the amount of critical hits that you get.

I'm tempted to get M1 Wasp on the next sale instead of M1 Hornet. Wasp seems to be better for circle strafing and hit-and-run, but it seems pretty fragile; M1 Railgun can destroy a M1 Wasp at close range, while M1 Hornet can take that and still survive (low health, but that's good enough to finish off any Railgun you're facing).

Thoughts?

hornet is better than wasp, if a gold box drops and your a wasp you got 5% chance of getting through wasp's shape is small and light so it can be flipped and desrtoyed easily

@Killer: Get the Wasp.

You seem to like circle-strafing, and Wasp is much better for that than Hornet. And Rail damage doesn't change with distance... my M1 Wasp can survive a M3 Railgun so... yeah :) get wasp

And Rail damage doesn't change with distance

Actually, it does. A vanilla M1 Railgun deals 74 minimum damage and 116 maximum damage. A vanilla M1 Wasp has 95.4 health, so at close ranges you're going to get one-shotted by M1 Railguns.

I'll think about it, since I'm probably going to buy my M1 light hull on the next sale. I really wish I could take garage items for a test drive.
