BTW I am not fond of Smoky or Twins. Those are the only items I don't have M1 with the exception of Hunter.

Hey guys, is smoky popular amongst top rank players apart from thunder and rail?

 

Everyone in in-game chats tell me I am only at top(usually in the top 3) for now, but smoky isn't played by top players so don't watse my time with it. That is why I am asking. I know there is a big gap between m1 and m2 which can affect it inbetween that stage.

 

Edit: I don't mean drugged either, just plain ole smoky.

I don't think I'll go that far, to be fair, even though I do have enough.

I do have enough to do that, but I'll put Rail and Shaft first (considering I also have enough for both)

From what I can tell, Smoky is more popular at high ranks than at low. Smoky goes well with pretty much any hull, but I recommend the following:

1. Smoky-Wasp. Takes some practice, but is extremely effective once you get the hang of it. It's fast, extremely maneuverable, and is great for hit and run attacks. Also extremely effective for capturing flags and points.

2. Smoky-Titan. Already effective at low ranks, and an absolute monster at high ranks. You can take and dish out a lot of damage. Especially good for DMs, or if you feel like causing havoc in the enemy base.

3. Smoky-Hunter. Decent at low ranks, much more effective at M2-M3. Fast, durable, maneuverable, and capable of destroying anything in its way. In my opinion, this is the most balanced tank there is.

Yes I do use Smoky, with either Wasp or Titan.

 

As for most popular combo's, there are to many to name one.

Smoky,in skilled hands can make a massacre..after rico,my favorite weapon..in balanced map,DM's preferablly,owns thunder,no mater what map it is..

Smoky is almost perfect in any way possible. High knockback extremely fast reload high damage and crits. The only thing that is the problem is short range.

short range?..well,it isn't for maps like berlin or dusseldorf,but it can work just fine medium,even longer maps..trust me  ;)

you are wrong..zeus is much more common..people underestimate needle..but that color is very,very good..

To me Needle isn't a great paint. For light hulls it lacks Rail protection, unlike Savanna. And for heavy hulls it lacks short range protection, unlike Zeus. That leaves the medium hulls, well also here it wouldn't be my first pick...

 

That is, if we are talking about Smoky protection.
