I just don't like the way smoky has such weak normal shots. The crit's are fun though.

The shots are weak, but somehow it's good enough to compete against M3 turrets.

Very effective gun indeed and another benefit is that a vanilla Smoky M2 already does a great job.

MU 's make it better, but not like you can (and have to) improve for example a Thunder M3 with micro-upgrades.

I 'm sure it will last till Marshal. Superb M2 weapon.

Smoky M2 is a great fit for the Viking M2 (as it also is for the Hunter M2)

I own a Viking M2/Smoky M2 on my alt (LT General). Next discount I will be ugrading it to Viking M3 for the last push till Marshal.

Capable and versatile combo. Just keep it moving and shoot while driving.

Sturdy, relatively fast melee fighter and very capable of supporting attacks.

Though I don 't believe it 's the best combo at all for Polygon CP.

For example Viking/Thunder would be much more effective here due to the obvious huge opportunity

for multiple Splash-kills.

Too bad IMO that Polygon CP becomes more and more popular though...but that 's another story.

Another question: What kind of maps would a Viking M2,Smoky M2 be good for?

It 's good in most Maps except IMO the small Maps, like for example Island.

Maps with little cover like Stadium are ok, but Maps that provide more

cover like Kungur are better.

Now with the update: Normal shots power increase, but crit damage decrease, is this thing very bad or better?

I don’t have a good feeling with this.

As mentioned in the V-LOG 42, the normal hit damage of Smoky will be increase but the critical hit damage will be decrease. "Hey ! It is fair !". Really? If you are using, or did use, Smoky, you probably would have already realised that Smoky is very relying on its critical hit. It is difficult, not impossible, to destroy a healthy enemy tank without critical hit. With nerfed critical hit, Smoky is simply nerfed. "Hey, don't forget the normal hit damage will be increased !" Yes, it will be increased but by how many % do you think it would be? 25%? 50%? 75%? hopefully 100%.  Do you think this would happen ? I won't be surprised if they give Smoky 1 to 2 more normal damage points and take away 10 critical damage points.

Luckily, I have decided to switched from Smoky to Thunder last month. The nerfing of Smoky won’t affect me.

P.S. Smoky has been being nerfed and nerfed from time to time. It is not wise to still consider Smoky as the primary weapon, like what I initially did; yes, I was once stupid but not anymore.

BTW do you see that they are OP-ing Firebird again ? So, you know which turret will be an ultimate one.

I use fire/Smoky/Isida as my main turrets. If one turret fails, I switch to the other B)

I guess it depends on how much damage they increase and decrease their critical damage. Wanted to buy it M3 but if is nerfed in future....Then..    :(  -_- Maybe someone can test it (M2/M3) when the new update release?

We just have to wait and see. When the test-servers are opened I will definitely test it.

It could be a good thing, because with Smoky you often overkill with the critical and the surplus of the crits damage

gets blown away with the "wind".

The amount of increase of the normal damage will make it a good or a bad update for the Smoky.

Considering the Smoky had nerf after nerf: it 's about time for a buff. -_-

Not sure how I'll feel about the Smoky update. It's currently very difficult to kill an enemy with standard shots, since you mainly rely on criticals to do damage. On the other hand, if they increase the damage of standard shots considerably, it will make up for the loss in crit damage.

I guess we'll have to wait.

Tested the Smoky: and in my experience it 's not good. Not good at all.

Crit is underpowered now and the normal damage hasn 't increased enough to compensate.

Damage increase less than 9, and critical damage only 72 from latest stats in M3+, is this turrent still good with Titan M3?

Tried Smoky and Thunder. If things stays the way they are: don 't go for the Smoky.

As I expected. Smoky has been nerfed since the beginning of 2015. I believe it would become  super-under-powered by the end of the year. :(

How is Thunder? Smoky and Thunder are the only turrets I have.

It seems developers are more focused on making Firebird, Ricochet, and Railgun the kings of the ring, rather than focusing on hidden gem of Smoky. A Smoky without its critical hit is just a pea shooter, like it was before the rebalance. This must be a cruel joke. I had considered saving for M2 Smoky during the sale, but if this update comes and (as I suspect) heavily reduces critical damage, Smoky will become just another pile of dust in my garage. :( M2 Ricochet is looking very good right now.

Totally agree. Smoky is very relying on its critical hit. Reducing critical damage equals nerfing Smoky. Onthe other hand, Firebird and Ricochet will be the king of the turrets soon. If I remember it correctly, Firebird's damage has been doubled in early February and it will be increased again in the upcoming update. I don't think even the afterburn damage will be decreased is a "fair trade" because if you have a powerful enough to kill enemy tanks quickly with normal burn, you don't really need the afterburn damage. Ricochet's number of ball in a clip and the ball speed have also been increased in February. Now, the range will be increased in the upcoming update. Firebird and Ricochet will be the ultimate weapons. I don't understand why TO has a bias toward them.

Now Smoky's damage and critical damage has been increased, but I feel like shooting a pea shooter against heavy tanks. Really not feeling Smoky's power.

Smoky's critical damage is actually nerfed. I have been considering saving up for m2 smoky, but it seems like this is a complete waste.
