I have smoky m4 with all its parameters except its impact force, i feel its useless specially after nerfing its critical hits and increasing its ordinary damage, it ended up with the same final damage results .. while all guns were supposed to get stronger

All the crystals spent on its critical hits and chance went to waste .. but am sure they are going to fix it, because it doesn't make sense

Its not nerfed, all they did was decrease critical hit damage by 20-30? And the damage per shot for maxed m4 is 47-52, In 4 shots you are already doing 210 damage without crit, seems to me smoky is more powerful now, and you are just being selfish

20-30 is quite a big amount, especially for a gun that relies on the heavy damage output of a critical hit. But this isn't about sheer damage alone. What made Smoky unique was its unpredictability, which came from the high power of the critical hit. With this update they made Smoky less predictable, therefore less fun. If you just keep increasing base damage, and taking away from the critical hit, at this point you're controlling a smaller splash-less version of Thunder.

Thunder's splash is quite dead now so its a crit less slow version of smoky :/

It still feels the same to me regardless

Did you see that pic of the joke in wiki I posted?

That is waht smoky is rwally supposed to be :D

Exactly! When the rebalance (the original rebalance) first came, Smoky's critical hit did about the same damage as a fully charged Shaft of the same modification. I remember always thinking at first that I got hit by a Shaft when my HP suddenly decreased by a huge amount. Oh yes Smoky was something to be truly feared. Now that honor belongs to Ricochet, and Thunder, and even Vulcan -_- Critical Hit should be renamed Slightly Bigger Hit, for all its worth.

That was when it was overpowered, im certian you wouldn't have enjoyed playing against it

Not bad if you dont want to rely on Crits,

If you do, then dont buy it ;)

Hmmm... Have the number of smoky protection paints decreased since the update? Haven't really had much opportunity to play. If there is a lesser number of protective paints, then that might add incentive to the purchase.

i've seen players saying that its not good as it used to be

it is better, crit is useless imo, seldom comes at right time and adds to wasted damage, thunder is the one that got nerfed, more wasted damage, slower reload(more weak at close) and weaker splash

Everyone is being a cry baby over critical damage, the increased damage smoky does makes up for the critical hit, the only disadvantage however is if critical hit is scored early while you are doing damage

I disagrre with me saying that Smoky got a nerf. It's quite powerful. Shoots insanely fast, and deals moderate damage. Still thinking about getting this M3 though..

Maybe Smoky is slightly more powerful now, but it definitely lost its fun factor.

Most guns have their own "signatures", Thunder has splash, Ricochet has bouncing shots, Hammer has impact force and it goes on and on...

Now Smoky is so dull to use, it feels like a very ordinary Gun.
