Titan/Smoky with a fairly skilled player is a winner in DM in small and medium maps.

In larger maps you have a better chance with more mobility:

so a medium like Viking would be a better pick in that case.

Skilled players can choose Wasp or Hornet, but they better avoid small maps.

Between Wasp and Hornet I rather choose Hornet, mainly because of it 's stability.

(and I prefer it 's centralized turret).

With both light hulls it 's ofc. all about avoiding being shot as much as possible.

Wasp has also a lot going for it, but when under fire it becomes pretty much helpless,

while Hornet when making the right corrections has a much better chance to quickly return fire.

Ofcourse both hulls are in big trouble when facing an ungoing barrage of Ricochet,

or even worse Vulcan.

Overall Smoky benefits from a stable platform (like Titan and Viking) to keep

shooting in a steady rhytm.

A Smoky player has to land those hits otherwise you better

keep it gathering dust in the garage.

i use hunter which is a ballet dancer. I find that the enemy's hits that spin me can be usefull when fighting more than one eneme

Smoky's most important skillneed is aim.

I like hunter for the reason above ^^^^^ and for the following;

Speed - hunter has the nesessary speed to get around without suffering too much damage

swing - hunter has more swing than viking so its better at hitting tank and turrets that are above or below.

is smoky OP? No. Smoky Protection paint works better than any other protective paint. I can sometimes wipe out an army of tanks with smoky. However if they where paint then naw

Agreed, aim comes first.

Good Smoky aiming combined with barely moving can/will still result in nice result with a heavy hull,

while on a light hull driving skills become almost just as important as aiming itself...

Hunter is an awesome hull for Smoky. Use both Viking and Hunter and though Viking 's stability/armour

in some cases wins the day, Hunter has indeed more swing.

It 's a very nimble hull in both turning speed and also when tipping/rocking.

This including the slightly faster speed and still very decent armour make Hunter imo the better choice also.

Hunter is arguably the most allround Smoky hull and due to that: often the most effective.

( Hornet is more fun though...if you can "live" with dying more also... :D )

Short killing times are essential in Tanki: so Smoky paints (many in high rank battles) are indeed devastating

to a turret that already requires (a lot) more shots on target than most other turrets.

Searching for OP? Better go shopping for Vulcan, Hammer, Isida or Firebird instead. -_-

I think smoky paints are getting common as we are making ppl knowbhow strong it is. Best way to stop this is for the smoky fans to stop bragging about it so it still remains a strong but not so well known weapon

Smoky-Wasp is really fun. It takes a lot of finesse to use, but it feels really good to zoom past Railguns, dodge all their shots, and pummel them to death with Smoky shots.

This is the combo I'm using. It is very fun even at low ranks. I can make nearly anything miss, if I'm focused. ;) I bet people get very annoyed by it.

In the game everyone says that smokey is the worst gun... its actually the best!!! it goes well with wasp and holiday! use it and be unstoppable.

At higher levels it is overpowered.  |Many of he vets will be seen using it on their alternative account in the lower ranks, to very good effect.  Years ago they may have used rail gun.  So go with it if you want it.  It has excellent stealth, is good at any range and if you are good with twiddling your turret, it is for you.

I feel as though Smoky is really underrated at lower ranks, making protection paints not at all common. But once you reach high ranks, they'll become more common - primarily due to the fact that people know this turret is a pretty big threat.

Smoky M2 changes it all. Ofcourse because of the enhanced stats, but also because Smoky is a turret that needs experience/skills

to perform well. Most Tankers will have developed plenty of experience at the time they rank to Colonel.

At least they will (better: should) know how to aim well, and because Smoky works on every hull,

Smoky M2 will seldom be a disappointment.

Even Smoky M1 is a fantastic turret: but most beginning Tankers simply lack the experience to use it with success,

and that 's why most Tankers rather choose other turrets that have more a kind of instant reward build in it.

Rightfully so, though I like the Tanker who sticks with it and slowly uncovers M1 Smoky 's true potential. :)

I began to use more of my Smoky M3+ than Twins M3+ nowadays because it's just too fun :P It helps to keep people out of the point.

19, moving to 20. I hope M4 smoky is really worth it...

Imagine M2 Smoky but on steroids and married to the BFG 9000.

Money well-spent. :3
