I think they added back some of Smoky's critical damage in the test server. Should be more viable now, but I'll try it out myself first.

I used it for a match. It's more powerful than the iteration from yesterday (well, at least it feels that way), but still not quite as powerful as it was before. At the very least, it's still quite formidable.

crit damage is too low but if those stats are going to be added to the game  i may have to switch to thudner

What the hell? First they say they are going lower critical chance and now critical damage? Without a high critical hit chance smoky becomes more useless than thunder, I might have to switch to twins or hammer :D

I love my thunder the way it is now, FAST! maybe lil powerless but I dont want slow-powerless ._.

 

 

 

Now's M4 thunder deals 6 shots in 10 seconds

average damage per shot is 80, 6*80=480

 

after update it will be 5 shots in 10 secs, average 97.5

5*97.5=487.5

Not a great change IMHO, I wouldnt like it at all to give my rather fast speed just for 7.5 more damage  :)

By decreasing the critical damage, it means all the crystals spent on the critical chance went for waste, smoky has turned now into a very ordinary gun.. its fine. but what about turning 2 parameters into nearly useless to MU? (critical damage and chance)

What about those who spent alot on the critical chance .. its around 100,000 crystals if not more

It's a buff for first-time smoky buyers though, as the DPS seems much higher now. Say 1 in 5 shots for m2 smoky is crit, and they took the crit down by 15 pints. That's 15 less damage per 5 shots.

 

Now, 4 in 5 shots are not crit (sticking with M2 smoky since it's the best for its rank). Now that's +7 damage for 4 shots. An extra 28 damage! Sounds like a buff to me.

i didnt use smoky after the update has it changed?

A lot harder than past to use.

Reduced range, and generally you need more hit. Also, everywhere is full of jackhammers which have %30 smoky prrotection.

why ruin the turret which was not popular even when it was powerful? except some adventurous soul, there were not much smoky users. at least I have not faced many in battle. but in the right hands they were deadly. I was planning to get it after some time. but I will not after this rebalance.

Smoky isn't bad; the devs may have nerfed the critical damage, but they buffed the normal damage. So I can still kill hornets easily without drugs.

I have smoky m4 with all its parameters except its impact force, i feel its useless specially after nerfing its critical hits and increasing its ordinary damage, it ended up with the same final damage results .. while all guns were supposed to get stronger

 

All the crystals spent on its critical hits and chance went to waste .. but am sure they are going to fix it, because it doesn't make sense

Probably they wont, Hazel does it as he likes it ;)

And thunder's splash,its main thing  is dead...

So I feel you :) altho I have only MUd it just once,

 

I bought the bulldozer kit 2-3 weeks ago for the splash just to see its dead now ...
