What's the most OP out of smoky, hammer and isida?

Isida, no competition here..

Isida is debatable. At stock M3 till about M3.6, I would say Smoky wins. M3.6 and up , at close range (assuming against all other weapons, not just the 3 in your question), isida is better. But mid and long range smoky is definitely more op.

I also thing that when comparing the prices of all M3s, smoky gives the best bang for the buck. Stock M3 is relatively cheap, and with about 60k of MUs, it is very competitive.

I tend to use smoky all the time because it's so versatile, but isida can drain my health in 2 seconds flat. I've always wondered why it's this powerful even though it unlocks early?

It is 100k cheaper than smoky so there would be crystals for microupgrades, but I'm not sure.

Smoky is great if you have good accuracy but my aim is awful railgun is better. I know what your saying that your accuracy has to be better with railgun but the thing with railgun is that the shots to kill are very low 2-3 shots for most hulls as with smoky the shots to kill are very high meaning you need to have constant good aim something I don't have also I think railgun has a stronger lock on but anyways if you have amazing aim Smoky is meant for you.

Not such a noob turret after all.

It's the 2nd most expensive turret, so that is not true.

oh yeah I got it on a 50% sale, so it was cheap then. My bad

That's a weird reason to forget Smoky's place on the prize-table dude lol.

it doesn't make thunder look bad, smoky does not inflict much damage if it's not doing a critical, 1 vs 1 the thunder would win.

Not necessarily. Smoky m3 reloads in like 1.3 seconds and does (when max upgraded) 47-57 damage per shot, so it would do much more damage than a thunder in a few seconds time. Also, its critical does like 100 damage, so GG.

That post was made about 3 years ago, when the game balance was different.

Currently, fully-upgraded M3 Smokies and M3 Thunders are roughly equally matched in terms of average damage-per-second. Thunder is considered to be better than Smoky if cover is involved or at long range, while Smoky is better at shorter distances if critical hits are obtained. Without critical damage, Smoky is quite weak. M4 Smoky's maximum normal damage is 56, which is actually not a whole lot considering that a M4 Viking has 315 health (A critical hit is less than a third of that). Smoky is good, but Thunder isn't necessarily worse either- they each have their own niche.

I have been noticing a problem with smoky on the madness map!!!!! When you freefall and are about 90 degrees or perpendicular to the ground and you shoot, you self destruct. Why is this? Can you guys fix it? It has costed me 2 golds and 4 flags already.

nerd lol, to measure dem angles

Anyway, no they can't fix this, their anti cheat kills legitimate players and does not stop cheaters. Saw 20 jump haxers which I rekt with angle tilting with twinnies

what is the alternate mode?

Well it's worthless, 27% more impact force but no criticals basically a downgrade and a wannabe thunder

It's not worthless, it makes it less OP and requires more skill to use. It is great for those who face rail, shaft, thunder, and hammer a lot.

there you go, and it costs crystals roflmao

Well, I guess you're right about rail shaft and hammer

but dude, i'd rather crit, it's not doubling the imp force

i'd like one that balances smoky's crits into normal hits and kills crits thou

Name me one (non-heal) turret players desire to use because it improves defense. You can't, because the game is about destroying the other tank. If I am asked to pay 50k to lower my damage I had better be getting a big benit in return.  +27% in impact force does not do it. Not close. Heavier hulls won't even notice it much. Vulcans will not notice it at all. But they will enjoy not having to suffer crit hits.

I get exp and Crys for damaging or destroying  the enemy tank.

I do not get points for throwing off its aim. I do not get points for knocking it off a Madness ramp so that it self-destructs. I am not going to pay 50k Crys for something that will earn me FEWER Crys in future.

These alterations seem designed to nerf Smoky, without them coming out and actually saying so. It is a nerf relative to other turrets. Other  turrets get alterations that improve performance. Smoky gets "alterations" that make it worse.

(Yes, Tanki is lying when they say alterations do not improve performance)

The alternations were not made for performance as much as they were made for different gameplay styles. The smoky alternation makes it more challenging and helps in parkour. Being OP is not the only purpose in TO...

I already addressed that nonsense about these alterations being neutral in terms of performance. As I said, that is simply a lie. The Thunder alteration is a 6.1% increase in dps. Players will not pay these prices unless they thnnk it will make their tank more dangerous on the battlefield.

AS for Parkpour. I am not impressed, my appolgies. Those represent less than 1% of all games played. I personally see no point to Parkpour. So I am not impressed that other turreets get options useful in all game, and Smokey is offered an option useful in 1% of the games.

But I am sure the rest of the Tanki community will start to realize all this before too long
