Makes thunder look bad, and the crit is too much. Crit should be nerfed at least  "a bit"  -_-

it doesn't make thunder look bad, smoky does not inflict much damage if it's not doing a critical, 1 vs 1 the thunder would win.

Smoky has been completely OP: reason

 

Its critical hit can spread around! If you hit one opponent, it'll move to another, if they're touching each other! So Thunder is Useless! Thunder needs more power and NEEDS MORE RELOAD SPEED!

What :o  Seriously??

i find smoky to be a sad weapon, think about it, in a way its relying on luck with its critical hit -_- the thing that helps smoky imo is how it can knock a players aiming

Thats one of my favorite things about it.  Its funny knocking a rail off, or hitting a wasp or hornet in the corner of their tank and making them curve into the wall.  When I use a smoky I get about half kills from criticals.  The rest are actually just from regular damage.  Think about it, at m2 its 35 hp per hit, and it shoots FAST compared to a thunder.  When people have rustle or emerald paint, the thunder is really only doing about 45 hp or so per hit with much slower fire rate and no crits... although I also very much like using Thunder still as well.  Smoky is just a nice change up to the Thunder. I'm hoping enough people will start using smoky paints to balance out all the Thunder paints.

Im getting smoky m2 soon :) heard its pretty OP :)

Well it can go up to 35 damage per shot. Three shots and that's 100 armor wiped off. It shoots fast. :lol:

 

And those Criticals. . . . .oh my those Criticals :o

I've heard that smoky's actual critical % is actually a bit higher than what it says from tanki's statistics?

Is this just a rumor? or if so, has anyone done experiments to determine the real %?

It's actually lower than the maximum sometimes.

My critical from an M2 Smoky should deal 172 HP.

 

But sometimes, I wasn't able to kill an M3 Hornet without protection paint.

I'm not sure if it could be higher aswell... but it can definitely happen that it deals less than the stats say.

I got to say that Smoky is the weapon that brings me on the edge the most in battle out of all the other weapons!

 

 

Other weapons I fear more than others are Twins and all the 3 close combat weapons. The close combat weapons are obviously very limited so I only fear them in certain situations of course... Twins is very powerful and has a strong knockback-effect aswell, but it's still a bit limited in range so it can be avoided sometimes. Smoky however.... shots travel instantly, very strong knockback, fast rate of fire, infite range. Using Railgun (which is the weapon I use 90% of the time) it can be incredibly hard to even get a single shot in on a skilled Smoky, even when I have a good opportunity... good cover, distance etc...

 

So, its a very very good weapon! And if a Smoky-user is quick to aim for enemy tanks doing peekaboo-attacks, it becomes very hard to fight them one by one.

But still I wont use it myself, I prefer Railgun. But I wanted to write this, coming from a Railgunner!!

Oh, I meant the critical %, as in the probability of a hit being critical.

But thanks for that information as well :)

Yep you'll enjoy it.  Also, if enough people start using smoky, thunder will once again become relevant (I also enjoy using thunder) because more people will have to buy smoky paints or continue to die!
