Should I get smoky m2?? M1 is a bit hit and miss in some battles, is m2 a significant improvement? In significant I mean twins/thunder/rail m0 to m1 sort of improvement.

I dont have it yet. But stat wise, I believe it's the biggest jump than any other modification.

Smoky M2 is alot like the M3, thats why its OP.

The ability to take out hornet m3 in single critical is kinda epic :P

Idc about getting lucky as long as it wins and close range? k next time put the tanks right in front of each other and smoky would still win because of self damage that thunder does.

Thunder isn't just meant to be a good gun for shooting other tanks normally. It has splash damage, which is very powerful and not utilised in any way in that demo.

The splash can be a benefit and a curse. 

 

I don't even see thunder as a long range weapon anymore, the pathetic tickles it gives from the other side of the map really are apologetic. Smoky on the other hand, is scary because its deceitful. Once a smoky latches on to you, you must hide before you see the crit or your health runs out.

I guess that's the common view of thunder, it does have one if the longest ranges in tanki. But it's only really noticeable within 50 metres or so.
