One day on Noise: the Red Team is up by about 3 flags, and the Blues are having a hard time capturing.

They have no problem TAKING, but as they reach the Red Flag, not one, not two, not three, but FOUR sets of Twins

catches them in a murderous hailstorm. As they frantically Repair and try to press on, they don't notice the mines just past the flag...

When I left there, I went to an abandoned Monte Carlo battle where a single Freeze was being hunted by 6 tanks. I rumbled my Viking Twins up to stop a flag grab, but too late. So I turned on the Shaft that was waiting his turn to grab and capture, and opened up. "Oh, I said to myself...you're NOT getting your turn." Of course, I was railgunned after I blasted him.

As a close range weapon, Twins is very flexible, if not as damaging as Firebird or as flashy as Vulcan.

Twins doesn't have to wait for a reload time.

Exactly the problem, although more with Isida and Freeze than with Firebird (because of the continued damage):

run out of juice and you might as well throw rocks at the enemy.

Firebird is really screwed if it runs low against another Firebird (toasty!).

Twins vs twins encounters almost always go to the higher Mod, unless he is in a cooldown and his enemy hits a "1" when he can't.

Which is better; smoky or twins m2

It depends on your playing style.  If you like charging for flags, I would recommend Twins M2.  Smoky M2 can be just as devastating with its critical shot.

You know what I find especially interesting about this gun, is that it's damage at max distance is greater (at M3) than it's close distance damage. Mind blown into space. @,@

I just noticed that too in the garage description, but I am pretty sure that it is a typo.

its the percentage number of damage, not actual damage, for twins plasma at max. range

I am guessing either range or impact force if that is true.  However, just because there is a parameter in the wiki stats does not mean it is able to be MUed.  For example, Hammer's pellets per shot or consumption time on Firebird, Freeze, and Isida.

With the introduction of the Vulcan turret, Twins became completely useless in 95% of the maps due to the time it needs to get in range to counter the Vulcan especially if mounted on a heavier hull.

After the Shaft i can say this is another turret i wasted crystals on!

Twins is not meant to be long range, which is what Vulcan is for.  Twins is the best for medium maps.  If a twins gets close to a Vulcan, it can win because of the slow rotation while shooting.

You said it, if it gets close, sadly i found that hard in most maps except hill and a few others. Try to win using Twins against a skilled Vulcan user in relatively small maps like Combe or Short bridge and tell us how it went.

As you mentioned Vulcan is in trouble if someone sneakes on him and takes him by surprise but that's hard against a good player that is fully aware of his surroundings.

I entirely agree with most of what you said, except for the fact that you can use cover when dealing with Vulcan because Vulcan has to "warm up" before shooting.

I don't know how long Vulcan needs to warm up at lower ranks but if you ever played against m3 or m4 i assure you it really doesn't need that much time to start firing, so its very hard to find cover if using any hull but Wasp or Hornet but this hulls are not good to use with Twins anymore since they nerfed the turret, especially the impact force. I also noticed Vulcan has an effect of slowing a tank he fires upon even if it hits its flank and in doing so it really renders maneuvering the tank difficult.

With a turret that deals more damage per shot i could use peek & shot tactics but with Twins the maximum damage i can deal is 13 per shot and whats worst i wouldn't be able to fire both barrels because if doing so my tank would be too exposed.

You gave some very good points there.  Good job!  Actually, I don't think I have anything to rebut that.  I guess I don't see very many Vulcans at my rank.  My best experience with them was on the test server.  But, I think I am willing to learn.  This thought also just came to mind.  If Twins seems under popular now, it might get a boost in several of its parameters.

Bought M1-M2 twins on a 70% off bonus. I guess it is a solid combo with my M2 Titan in Poly CP but overall it haven't found good uses for it.

I can't say I regret buying it tho...as it as an extra M2 in my garage =P

One thing I will never be using... is my M1 Shaft 3:

Guys I hve another account nearly warrant officer 3, shhould I get this for my mamoth, viking or titan m1?

I think you will find Titan more useful than Mammoth with regards to Twins being your turret. It has better maneuverability and is a bit faster than Mammoth. You do not need to be the slowest and most protected for using Twins in my opinion. It will be a tough journey tho... Titan M2 unlocks at Colonel and M3 at Field Marshal...

Want a safer and more fun journey through the ranks? Use it on Viking or Hunter. They should not be too slow and their armour is fine. Viking M2 might take a while to unlock, but M3 unlocks early. To be honest,Twins goes fine with the hulls you mentioned, so in a way it comes down to

likes/dislikes (:
