Won't work so well in Forest though - amirite?

Without the MFS alt don't bother with massacre or Alexandrovisk either.

And most of the walls in those maps are sloped, the ricochet ability will be useless. So might as will get your self the unstable plasma alteration.

Just need the correct startegy

For Forest stay in the mid section and use sneak attacks

Alex - Is good , use it like smoky and use those houses and the slope on the base

Massacre MFS is needed

I've already got the Plasma Core Accelerator alt on Twins.  That's the one I refer to as LR, or Long Range.

And yes, it works a treat.  I've got it at 19/20 and 20/20 is processing right now.

I try to kill enemies before they get close.  On Highways I tend to take on two players fighting each other maybe at the opposite end of the level and kill them both with a barrage.  By the time they've noticed I'm there, I've already landed a stream on them and more is coming.

Killed so many that way - I made 8,000 exp today with it on Highways DM.  Great gun, never been so successful with any other turret.

And keep moving.  Staying still means you get jumped from behind or the side.

My fave tactic is to jump over players and drop a mine on them as I go over.  God, I love that.

Yes people do charge towards you with Twins because they hope they can ram into you and self-destruct you with your own gun.  My response is to reverse and drop a mine. This works especially well with Firebirds, who don't see the mine through their own flames.

For those who do see it in time, most stop dead which means you're safe.

The biggest help of all to me is using supplies on the map first, not shop supplies.  After spawning, I'll grab SU and DD and a DA if I can, and then take on enemies.  If I get one that gets too close, *that's* when I use shop supplies, and keep any OD for a last resort.

I don't bother with the Stable Plasma crap.  Yes, you lose the risk of self-damage, but you also lose splash damage and I've killed loads by carrying on shooting as they go up a ramp and the splash damage has got them after I can no longer see them.

Forest 95% right-angle wall free. Might as well use unstable plasma

Alex 85% right-angle free. Large map you will need MFS.

Once you start using it against faster target you will realize the issue. At your rank tanks are relatively slower.

Is the Unstable Palsmas Splash as good as Thunder ?

Maximum splash damage radius for Unstable Plasma is 7m, for Thunder it is 12m. Honestly I don't think it's worth it.

Well, at least you were smart enough to get yourself some twins protection to protect yourself from the self damage.

Uh?  No, I don't put myself in the position to need any self-damage protection - if it happens, full reverse, drop a mine, shooting as I go.

Having the ability to deal splash-damage is of more value to me.

The Twins protection I have (Panther D-D) is to protect against damage from Ricochet and other Twins, not my own.

That said, the LR (plasma core) alt means I can generally wipe out lesser-equipped Twins - hits harder, knocks their aim off, so I mostly use protection against those sneaky Rail buggers instead.

Yeah, that strategy works until you end up backing into a wall.

Well what about for Polygon & Forest ?

Yeah, that strategy works until you end up backing into a wall.

That strategy works perfectly well if you have some spatial awareness of where in the map you are at any time.

Another factor is I quite often charge at people as my barrage is coming towards them. The sight of Viking bearing down at full pelt does seem to have an effect in slowing their reactions.

Meaning, in doing so I've traversed the area I may have to reverse through.

The only time it usually comes unstuck is if when going full reverse you encounter either a dumb sh;t teammate, or a well-placed enemy.  Had that happen twice - one takes you on from the front and another (usu isida) from the back leaving nowhere to go.  But it was the isida that got me, not self-damage.

Largely, the full reverse, drop mine and shoot like hell as you go is working for me.

Based on what happens in DM mode I would say twins every time but it depends on a lot of things like using elevations on the map, hiding behind walls, taking hits from other tanks.

The most insane weapon (other than Freeze and Ricochet) if you want to drive someone up a wall. Get close enough, and aim at the side of their hull, circling around them. They won't land a shot.

Or just drive straight at them with a brick on the space key and they won't land a shot either.

Twins should not have so much impact force.

Now , For a Twins user the must to have things are

1.A Brick Actually, that would be dumb. I like to sneak up on people. And anyway, my keyboard ghosts so bad that if i am holding down the space bar to shoot and driving, I can't turn, or turn my turret.

2.One of the two alteration Ehhh, I like splash, and I do just fine without the extra range.

3.Lots of Supplies Indeed, mission chains are a must for a non buyer like me.

4.Trooper drone  Can't say yet.
