No matter what they do for Halloween it is already ruined for me in Tanki. What they did to Twins is a crime.  It is totally gutted.  they say its range was increased, but it actually seems like it is even shorter than before.  The only thing it might be good for is mounted on Titian or Mammoth firing straight ahead with the enemy coming down a slot right into its line of fire.  There is no way you can maneuver around and be effective any more.

Twins RIP.

I get better scores with a Firebird M1-MU2 than with a Twins M2-MU10 with Stable Plasma Alteration.  Previously I almost always placed in the top four players.

Even after the nerf, this turret kills things just fine.  One difference is that now you very occasionally kill tanks AFTER they kill you.  Which is all kinds of hilarious.

you should decide after overdrives get released

Good advice.

I have been looking forward to buying Tiaga since M1 but after the Viking/Hunter swap and the new Twins nerf, if I were to buy a Twins M3 it would be with Hunter.  Viking gets knocked off aim too easily and pre-nerf that didn't matter so much since you could chase your enemy down.  Now you have to be more stationary and be able to lead your shots more...so you need the more stable hull.  In fact, the Titan/Twins kit might be a good option for the way Twins perform now.

Hello tanker, I recently had my twins, I've been very noob in the turret since I never used it, so I wanted you to give me some tips:

How to play, what to buy

Thanks to all who can help me.

obs: any language error, blame google translate

Guys should I buy master of taiga or twins with hunter m3(I don't know the name)

Get the Vandal...what you lose in a little speed you will make up for in power, stability, and turning speed. Plus it can actually rock (not that you will use that much with twins) should you mount rail, thunder, smoky, vulcan, etc.

If you still don't know. Twins with m3 hunter is named vandal.

Ooops, just replied to him without seeing this. You got it:)

At higher ranks you will find that Titan plus lots of turrets is a good option. I still like launching the hornet from time-to-time, but getting one shot by so many turrets is frustrating...enter the Hunter as a nice in between hull. Great in lots of areas.

Why not try Viking ?

I have an m4 viking and if you look at my stats you will certainly see I have spent time with all hulls except Wasp and Mammy. I personally found the viking (even at m4) to be very hard to navigate and shoot while taking fire from thunder, smoky, rico, twins, etc. It is simply way too unstable for me. I regretted getting the viking to m4 (but in reality its stability was flipped to hunter after I was more than halfway there). Since I have upgraded my hunter to m4, I have not used my viking once. If I want lots of speed I use the hornet. If I want strength, stability, and health in spades I go titan. I'd love to trade my viking to someone:)

Also, Viking loses its speed advantage if it's frozen in place or if hunters soon to be overdrive gets it. It will also lose its camouflage advantage if hornets soon to be overdrive gets activated.

So basically, it's useless.

I didn't even think about the OD differences. Still not sure how to prepare for them...

On a side note, there are lots of players with the viking at high ranks who play really well with it. So my conclusion is each player has to figure out their preferred playing style and max out their equipment to enjoy TO. So I guess for me the viking is useless, but not for everyone.

Obviously I am a mid-range/long-range player who really loves helping my team win. I don't play for gold boxes. I enjoy killing a flag stealer and recovering the flag for my team more than capping a flag. I love letting a teammate grab the flag, fly past me, then blocking the chasing tanks until I am killed. I can't tell you why, but I do.

Since firebird has been beefed up some, I have started using it more and enjoy it depending on the map. It really makes a difference in the base when enemy tanks come in to set up and spawn kill. Getting multiple tanks on afterburn helps the team for sure:)

After getting Twins, I realized that it's not as OP as I had previously thought (but of course that doesn't mean it isn't great).

Comparing it to Ricochet, it does have more damage and impact but aiming is harder and the projectiles are slower.

I think these two turrets are equal in strength as opposed to my previous posts where I always ranted about twins being better than rico in every way, which is false now that I tested both of them.

The one distinct advantage Twins does have however is that it wrings out every speck of benefit from DD. It is a relentless assault that maximizes drugs like no other turret...possibly Vulcan, but only once it is firing:)

It's one of those things... sometimes it won't seem strong but then in another battle it will seem very strong. You need to change your turret based on the map and the opposition protection modules.

There are very few turrets that no one ever uses protection against (typically vulcan and magnum these days).

That's exactly what's happening here, sometimes I get royally screwed, other times I'm like the juggernaut.

Some of the battles I did best on where the ones with large open spaces, no drugging (pro battles), less strikers and magnums, as well as using viking.

By the way, let me be the first to congratulate you on the soon to be Legend status!!! Quite a long haul in my personal experience:)
