Will not laugh ^_^

ppl like it a lot with drugs otherwise twins not so tough but when it`s nerfed players will drop it like a boulder lol

M1 twins on M2 mammoth can beat any upgrade of rail on M2 mammoth as long as they don't have twins protective paint. I bought M1 twins on discount this last Sunday and I'm loving it. It's a good weapon to push back tanks with short range weapons. As you fire moving backwards you manage to gain enough distance to make the short range opponent loose fire range between you and him thus he can't keep killing you anymore.

I don't see logic reason in nerfing twins. First, it has the disadvantage of limit range; second, it looses its damage power the furthest away the target is from you; and third, it has the lowest damage rate per shot from all other weapons. Its only advantage is its extremely fast reload. If players think it's overpowered, I'd say ALL weapons are "overpowered" then. Thunder, for example, has extremely high damage+splash damage which kills simultaneously many tanks within its splash range. 2 shots from a drugged M3 thunder at close range finishes off an M2 mammoth (insane). Another example, railgun has the 2nd highest damage rate of all weapons and it can pierce through tanks and kill the ones behind it and its "knockoff" is very powerful. I won't explain about the other weapons since here is only twins discussion topic, but this is simply to say that each weapon has their unique advantage and "overpowerness" over the others. So instead of complaining about a certain weapon that annoys you, think that the other player whom weapon annoys you, yours might be his annoyance too ;)

@JCar: Well, the range it has really isn't a downside for it. The range is clearly not a problem for it in popular maps like Silence and Polygon. And face it, Twins/Mammoths don't play in something like Dusseldorf unless there are drugs 24/7 or if they're using a fast hull like Hornet.

 

The damage loss isn't that big of a deal. It's not like Thunder where the damage decreases dramatically.

Okay, so what if the shots have the lowest damage rate? You expect it to have the damage of a Smoky or Thunder with that kind of Firing speed?

The shots fired per second is its true power, not the damage of the pellets.

 

An extremely fast reload is not its only advantage. The impact, my good sir, is also what most people don't like about it. Once you're being showered by a Twins, you're immobilized.

 

Ok see, Thunder has a relatively slow reload. Second of all, there are many paints against Thunder for lower ranks. The only protection for lower ranks is like a puny 10% or 5%. Until of course you're able to get something like Urban. Keep in mind however that that is a very expensive paint, and we cannot afford it.

 

And the close-ranged with Thunder? Keep in mind that Splash damage hurts the user also.

 

And Railgun? That gun has high damage because it has very slow reload. And when it hits multiple opponents, the damage is cut by half each time. So normally it is quite a challenge to score 2 kills in one shot.  The knock-off is powerful, but not constant. To make an actual use of the knock-back, you can't just randomly shoot. You have to aim for the edges, or time your shots extremely well. And shooting at the edges risks more of a miss.

 

Personally I've went up against Twins before, and even with my Mammoth M2 and a little bit of Twins protection with my Electra, it just completely blows me away. Drugs vs. drugs, it still wins. It is Over-powered. I've gotten over the fact that Freeze is being nerfed. :P I just came to realize the fact that it is OP, and should be nerfed to sustain balance in gameplay.

To clarify it to you, my comment was not a complaint about twins but one of in favor of it. And when I mentioned thunder's close firing I didn't mean it within his splash zone but like 15 to 20 meters away or so. And, yes, twins damage decrease at a long distance is extremely low (lower than thunder's and thunder has unlimited range). It gets to the point that it doesn't even do any damage at all when you're being fired at from his max fire range (I've noticed many times when I was taking fire from a twins at a long distance, it wouldn't even damage me at all).

I wonder how the twins will be useful in any situation

they still will, people will think that twins will be underpowered so they won't bring anti-twins paints in games, that will give an advantage to twins users.

i have some questions..

twins will be nerfed at bullets speed,knockback,fire rate?

but the damage per shoot will remain the same?

if it remains the same will be still a main force

the force oviouslly will decrease, because less shots per minute will be fired.

33% less shots per minute.

for example,twins at m3 does per shoot beetwen 15-18hp,will remain the same if fire rate is nerfed?

actual at m3 it does 180 shoots per minute,after pshsic will be like 120 per minute?

that is like rico m3 fire rate :angry:

well,i must use twins m2 at high for having some good memories when it is still strong :wub:

When I mentioned M1 twins over M2 mammoth beating an M2 mammoth with any given rail, was a face to face firing like in a DM in Polygon (that's where I've experienced such feat).

@Jcar: True enough, Twins was built for that kind of gameplay anyway.

 

I still think the new Twins will be more like a Bubble machine though. xD

It will shoot hearts and peace logos to players and spread flowers all over the rest of tanks :D

Thats the point people, we need some harmless beetles
