I have to agree with Wiki-Gob on this one.  It is just too OP.  That coupled with the fact that most Twins users have their thumbs permanently glued to the space bar just makes a bad situation worse.  I would rather listen to someone killing cats than listen to that never ending NOISE.  And NO ... I will not turn my SOUND OFF.

The reason why Twins can seem so OP is because the turning acceleration and speed is superior to just about any other turret - this makes it really hard to escape the wrath of a Twins player.

Of the three major turrets I use the most Twins aims/turns the fastest for me. It blows my mind how quickly I can use it in battle compared to all the others I have. Firebird is second followed by Isida. I really cannot use any of the others because they lag badly when trying to turn them - it makes me feel like the turrets are made of wet noodles.

Not OP.

Slow fire rate and extremely limited range.

Close quarters weapon only.

Play with twins on Berlin Brest Highways or Düsseldorf, and see if you still think it's OP.

Range is pretty good in my opinion its higher than all close range turrets and Twins has one of the best DPS(just next to Ricochet i think) in the game. And unlike close quarters weapons it doesn't even need to reload. So better range+better damage=OP.

I play a lot on Rio and Polygon.

Twins in Polygon is good.

Twins in Rio is only good if there aren't too many enemy Shafts and/or Rails. Otherwise forget about getting in range much less a kill. I know the same is true in other popular medium maps like Serpuhov and Kungur.

But the thing is that in maps like Serpuhov it is usually easy to escape from shafts.

Twins = the most noobest and unskillful turret going. (along with Vulcan too)

But also the MOST effective turret on small maps like Hill, Arena and Island >_>

Especially Arena and Island CP.

I tend to choose turrets that don't have one-shot kills. To me that is the n00biest way to play - hit DD, aim, kill. There's no fun in that.

So I guess you don't like playing with Shaft, Thunder or Railgun then?  :P

Oh and Hammer

By using the parameters of both they are very close - Viking M3 weighs a bit more and has 5 more health than Hunter M3 and a faster acceleration speed - Hunter M3 has the advantages of faster overall speed along with turning much quicker and backing up much quicker.

One thing to keep in mind: it is easier to grab a gold box with Hunter, and, because the turret sits higher up you have an advantage in aiming at those below you.

There's a 20,000 crystals difference at M3 (Viking is cheaper).

Oh and Hammer

Shaft is at M0 still. To me it's the most boring turret in the game.

I do have M2 Hammer and Rail (along with Thunder and Rico) - recently a friend invited me to an XP/BP battle. Until that time I have yet to play a whole round with Rail because the turning speed is miserable (the speed at which the turret turns in relation to where I want to go/aim the tank). Because it was an XP battle it forced me to learn quickly different tactics - also there were no supplies so it made it a bit more fun (at least 2 shots to kill an opponent). At the end of the round (5 flag caps) I came in second on my team and had the second highest kill ratio - this from a player who has never really used Rail before.

I was learning to be a good Thunder player and just after I got M2 they nerfed it. Now it just collects dust. If I ever upgrade it will be one of the last ones I do.

I suppose my goal after ranking to Gismo at this point is to focus on the turrets I don't use and become better at them.

I'm just not a huge fan of one-shot kills. I suppose in the essence of fair play I think even an opponent should have at least the opportunity to defend and attack before being killed. One of the irritations I have with Tanki is the spawn kills - it's just stupid to not even allow a person a chance to fight back before being popped right away (and this happens mostly with drugged Rails or Shafts). Even in games such as Unreal Tournament, Quake, CS, etc. head shots were far more difficult than getting a one-shot kill in Tanki.

YES!

Spawn killing brats on this game is the thing that really get on my nerves on the most - especially in XP/BP battles -_-

And when noobs in XP/BP battles (on the enemy team) continue to kill you and capture flags when your team is down by a man or two. It really frustrates me.

Like, are they that noob that they have to capture flags in an unfair game?

Are they that noob, that they can't win fairly and play a fair game?

That's exactly why I hate the use of supplies. It's especially irritating when a team has a clear lead and would be impossible to overcome that lead and they STILL continue using their garage supplies to keep running up the score - even when the losing team is down several players and has no possible chance to come back. What makes it even worse is spawn camping with drugs.

If I'm in such a situation I'll just post in chat to all to see "Bye - enjoy your round with no opposition."

I also hate it when I'm on the winning team and they act that way also. I'll usually also leave in such a situation.

It is nice to see some players with manners - "Don't cap until more show up" - if my team has plenty of players and the other does not I will tell everyone that I will pause until more show up - usually I'll just go find a corner and park with my turret facing the wall to signify I'm out for the moment.

The bad behavior makes it a struggle to want to continue to play, but, I do come across enough good people with a good sense of ethics that it keeps me playing.

And so, as noted, my three top turrets (Fire, Isida, and Twins) all give opponents the chance to fight back. Not a single one of those can take out any tank with a single shot - they all take several seconds at least.

But can I substitute Twins- Hunter with Viking & Prodigi paint instead?

I'm still not very good with Hunter...

Absolutely. You take a tiny sacrifice on speed with Viking but your armor, power, and early M3 unlock more than make up for the insignificant gap in speed.

And Viking is vastly easier to handle than Hunter. No skid.
