Don't throw this statments like common knowledge comming from God himself. Argument why you think firebird beats freeze or shut up.

Freeze is strongest short range weapon. First look at this http://noobblog.net/breaking-down-freeze/ stats prove this.

Second freeze can kill at greater distance than both fire and isida.

Third when freeze and fire both attack an enemy together freeze will always take the kill, 

Fire will only kill freeze one on one if freeze cannot get out of range fast enough, ie, backed against a wall, of blocked by another tank

Yes, fire is a great short range weapon, to be feared for sure, still as no battles are played one on one much, so many other factors come into play, if the medics are there and you have freeze and fire on your team they cancel each other out so you have to play solo with fire to be effective and if freeze gets around you, you're done for. but if freezes aren't around fire is almost as effectivee but your opponent can still follow your movements till the after burn kills him, the freezing effect just gives freeze that small edge over fire.

I don't have that problem with Firebird M2 - in fact, it's more of a problem when I use Freeze M2

its just bad that Freeze M2 was unlocked very early - made it too OP. I hate WO5 Hornet M1 + Freeze M2 players who freeze me and I just die easily, and it just doesn't help that Fire M2 unlocks at Major. If there's a kit for Fire M2 + Hunter M2 I could have totally owned those freezers with huge damage!!!

Fire M1 rocks though. I sometimes only spew fire at Isida M1 (or Freeze M2) + Hornet M1 for 1.5 seconds, he turns around and kill me, then he dies from after burn

Freeze is a lot better than fire these days. Even with the dps fire can put, is still worst than freeze because those pesky isidas around. Freeze have a good chance to beat those isidas or left them behind, fire don't have such a luxury unless they use a faster tank. Another factor is with the raise of freeze and smoky, in small maps zeus is a very popular paint (on my rank, of course), wich makes firebird useless.

You can believe in what i have to say about this turret (its my favorite one) i have taken most golds with it, and also i have killed a lot druggers with it without being drugged myself. Freeze is one of the best weapons that can attack from behind leaving you no chance surviving. :D

M1 Freeze + M1 Hornet

rushing accross a Large map right behind them,

then freezing vehicle after vehicle before coming back for finishing them off.

Used to snipe from distance, but lowsy teammates are often the reason for rethinking your own tactics/guns..

 

I´ve found guarding the Flag or, more exciting, creating secret paths to the tails of enemies, my coolest moments (though I still snipe when it is "feeding time":)

 

(somebody said M2 Freeze is a waste and I believe it -mostly it´s about cunning when closing a Lieutenant)

But Zeus also makes freeze at least half useless, plus, look at the damage MUed Fire M3 does, a 80 DPS!  Zeus only makes a tank 50 percent resistant to Fire, so if a fire user uses double damage it still can own zeus players, and you can just attack a Picasso(or clay) and not a Zeus, I'll just leave destroying Zeus users the Snipers(Rail and Shafty). So I believe many Generalissimos does use fire :D I hate those smoks though, they're OP at M3 with a Titan or Mammy

I use an M3 freeze with an M3 wasp hull.  Both have been micro-upgraded many times.

 

This is the ideal configuration if you like to move rapidly around the battlefield like a fighter pilot and attack enemies at close range.  Most of the time, I catch enemies by surprise from the side or behind and kill them before they can turn their turrets.   If they are all drugged-up, this doesn't work, but I try to avoid druggers. 

 

I get killed a lot, especially by snipers as the wasp is easy to kill.  But I score a lot of points because I make a lot of kills.

 

I also pick up a LOT of crystals as I can get to them before anyone else. 

 

I used to like to capture flags and I was very good at it, but eventually I realized that you don't get very many points for capturing a flag compared to what it costs...you get killed many times with no points.  Now I just cruise around the middle of the battlefield, or the "hot zone" as I call it, where all the action is.  I kill, get killed, and pick up crystals.   It's very intense.

 

I don't understand snipers.  Yes, you can score points but it's so BORING just sitting there waiting to shoot someone.

 

I like to move around and "mix it up."

 

I used to use a M3 thunder but I kept blowing myself up at close range.   Other players know this weakness and close on you.

 

Yes, freeze is short range only but this is not such a disadvantage as it might seem.   I'm so fast with the M3 wasp that I can quickly close the range on tanks with long range guns, especially if I see them first, which I usually do.

 

This is not the ideal configuration for all maps.  Small confined maps favor bigger tanks.  I prefer larger maps with more open territory like Kangur which is my favorite.

 

Freeze is good in defense but only with a bigger hull.  Also, you don't earn as many points guarding the flag, and you get NO crystals.

 

I prefer to constantly attack, which earns more points, and more crystals.

 

I only play flag games.  I usually pick up TEN TIMES the amount of crystals that are awarded to me at the end of the game even if I am on the winning team, so I don't really care who "wins" the game by capturing the most flags.   

 

I am relatively indifferent to who wins.  Using my strategy, I always get lots of points and lots of crystals. win or lose.

 

Of course, I am helping my team "win" by killing so many enemies.

 

It works to my advantage that everyone else is so focused on the flag.  I am not.  I am focused on killing & crystals only.

 

I also get out of games if there are many druggers on the other team, 

 

I used to get mad at druggers and try to fight them, but now I just leave and look for another game with lower-ranking non-druggers.  Then I can really score.

 

You can't let your ego make you do dumb things.

 

Avoid druggers.  Let them fight each other. 

 

Also, stay off chat in battles.  I have it disabled so I don't even see the chat. 

 

Final note: the M3 wasp is so fast (especially if you pick up a nitro) that you need a lot of practice controlling your tank.  You'll run into a lot of walls, tip over, fly in the air and flip over, etc, until you get used to it.  But when you do it's really cool to go flying past big drugged-up tanks so fast they can't react.

^ pretty good points there. Trying to cap the flag brings down my D/L a lot.

And it ain't boring being being a sniper if you use rail, as you constantly have to move. Its actually pretty exciting when you perform difficult shots with it.

And I really need to learn what you said about dealing with druggers. I waste most of my drugs trying to teach them a lesson.

Freeze is very reliable u can play both attack and defence with it the freeze effect is amazing u can freeze druggers attacking your flag or the enemy's defenders and get their flag it effective against hardcore druggers

Best weapon. Can use for anything. Trust me if you had a team with all freezes versus anyteam. YOU WILL LOOSE. I have freeze m2 it is so useful and good

I always kill M2 Vikings in 2 shoots with my Rail. And it is not MUed.

Well said. You made me want to try this combo again, I only tried it in Polygon DM and it works average, as Thunders and Rails always shoot you, thinking that you're an easy target.

Going in circles is difficult if you attack from the front.  If you attack from the side or rear, it's easier.  That's why if you use a freeze, you need a fast hull, a wasp or hornet.

 

As for freeze vs fire, I prefer freeze because it slows down opponents.  Even if they kill you this makes them vulnerable to your teammates.

Over time, I've become aware of the advantages of the short-range weapons of tanki: freeze, fire, and isida. 

 

Put any of these on a fast hull, a wasp or hornet, and you have a really formidable weapon.
