M2 damage is kind of underpowered...

my friend @gabrielharewood will hit you with a cold water balloon for saying that.  Well he is a freeze fanatic, always has been, always will be.  His belief is if you find freeze M2 weak then you clearly don't know how to use it and should stop playing that game right away!

^And I won't disagree with that.  That said, on the other hand, relative to other M2 such as firebird, it is relatively weak in dealing damage to the enemy hulls.  But there's also a good reason for this.  Freeze M2 is unlocked at WO5 and is super cheap compared to all other turrets.  If you pay a dear price for an M2 you unlock much after you'd want it to be more (relatively) powerful than the cheap deal at a WO rank.

On the other hand (think we got 3 by now) if you're into MU, I believe freeze M2 is the most effective thing to MU at , well , M2.  Reason is there is a much bigger gap between M2 and M3 and hence when you MU the M2 you gain more than what you would have gained by MU'ing a weapon which has a close M2 to M3 delta*.

Freeze is a multi purpose weapon ... Can defend as well as attack...

Try middle sometimes.  Just put on a fast hull, roam around in the middle of a map that has plenty of cover spaces (kungur matches are great for this) and troll all enemy going in and out of your base from their 6 or their side.  Below is the algorithm*** I used to use for jogging when I was your age*

  1. Enter loop
  2.     Find Prey
  3.     Pounce
  4.     Vacuum
  5.     Hide
  6. Repeat

*   Delta means difference in numbers

*   Age WO5 to colonel

**  Notice how I used the word relative to not cause anger among the die-hard freeze fans

*** Notice the last 4 lines of the algorithm can be turned into a song similar to this one

I was just telling that with respect to the +5 DPS from m1 to m2 but i truly think it's still powerful and really nice that you unlock it at WO5.

Yeah, might need some MU's Cuz m3 is after Brigadier.... Long way...

And thanks for the advice...
