I agree. Freeze is not OP at all. Thanks to the easy accessibility for Freeze, there are a lot of them >_< and that is really annoying.

Absolutely, even an M0 Freeze can be used just to slow down enemies going for flags.

It's ridiculously cheap and an M2 is already accesable at W05.

It was even worse a couple of months ago, Freeze used to have a longer Freeze-effect than nowadays.

Vacuum cleaners are not OP; they are still super annoying though, good thing they increased turret rotation when using nitro.

And then there's firebird > freeze no chance, seriously, at ctf you might as well bring a firebird, you might not be able to slow the enemy down but at least you do 50+ more damage over time compared to freeze and still kill the target

At first I regretted buying M3 Freeze, mainly because my other two good turrets were Firebird and Railgun.
I ended up liking it more when I played in DM with it (:

That's how much Exp you gain for using freeze in 30-60 min battles. Besides, there's no point in joining a damn 30-60 min battle because the special timer got removed or something.

I'd rather you did not tell me what battles there's a point of joining, especially when the logic in all of that post leaves a lot to be desired. Who's to say I was in that battle from the very beginning?

When a Freeze is freezing you, what do you do? #1 Die? #2 Activate Armour? Or, #3 activate N20?

First try to run.

After die

Ay last, kill it again and again until he quit :D

I'm a wasp M1 Freeze M0 user. Love the combo and can't wait to save up the crystals to M1 the freeze. Some observations and tricks:

Know your map. Wasps speed and small SIZE means you go where other tanks can't. Freeze lets you paralyze your enemy before they can respond. Jump off buildings. Skirt ledges. Take the paths less traveled. I've got techniques for flag capture in Alexandrovosk and Rio that I could patent.

Freeze those guarding the enemy flags no matter how many there are. Whether or not they get off a couple of shots and kill you, they are sluggish when the cavalry of your allies swoops in behind you.

Talk to your team, establish roles. Play pass the baton with the flag. If you get killed while carrying the flag a block away, have a full health ally waiting to get to the flag before the enemy can return it.

Have an is idea near your home flag to heal you. You will almost always get to your capture point with a few dents in your armor.

Never attack anyone head to head (duh). Freeze kills way to slowly to stave off enemy fire.

Avoid twins altogether. That turret swivels too fast for freeze to escape from.

Don't bother taking on heavy hulls unless you are drugging, but even that is a waste of drugs. Just takes too long to freeze when hornets and wasps are everywhere ripe for the picking.

General advice, buy a few cheap paints and drop crystals on upgrades. Repaint yourself depending on what weapons you find on enemy tanks when joining a battle.

I sense a future Starladder Waspie here :P

Thanks! One more... Assess the enemy flag defense before rushing in. More than two tanks guarding and you won't get out alive. Again, have a team plan for relay.. Or if your team isn't cooperating wait for your team mate to make a run for the flag. Let the enemy tanks swarm to the sacrificial lamb while you swoop in from another angle unchallenged.

You will be a great team leader one day :)

Crime of the century: I'm about 1200 crystals short of Freeze upgrade price. Last night a gold box dropped while I was carrying the flag. I drove right over the gold box point, there was no one in the area. In a bone-head move, I went for the flag capture then went back to the gold box point which was now swarming with tanks. In a panic I jumped off the side of the building thinking I would climb the tank mountain in my wasp, but... Wait for it... I flipped.

Doh!

No worries though. If I play a few good games tonight the M1 freeze will be mine.

I've paid full price for equiment and upgrades before only to have it go on sale sooner or later at 20-50% off.  That's a lot of crystals to save on mod increases.  I have other accounts, one higher (Viking M1-Rico M1) and one lower (Mammy M1-Shaft M0)

Thinking I will play the Mammy account to raise money for the shaft M1

Sorry guys, I know I'm off topic.

I usually panic when a Freeze just suddenly starts attacking me from behind when I'm in scope mode.

You...I like the way you think.

Can I ask an opinion? Should I go for the upgrade or hold my crystals for a sale and play on another account while I wait?

I suggest you don't MU your M1 items as they are temporary and will soon disappear when your get them to M2.

MUs are only useful when your stuff are M3.

Sorry, I did say upgrade... I meant to ask whether I should go ahead and buy M1 at full price or wait for a sale?

Wait for a sale unless your combo is completely unviable

Can't say yet. I have M1 Rico on my high account and it is pretty awesome.

I'm actually a bit discouraged about M1 Freeze. M0 on double damage still takes a long time to kill. Can't imagine M1 changing that by itself with its stat boosts... Will probably still have to drug.

That said... Drugging freeze is super sweet, especially when you line up two enemies... Freeze effect penetrates the first guy and the second too. Pretty good way to maximize yield and get ye most of freeze's high power drain.

I think in some cases you can get a lot of value out of MUing an M1 when the gap between the M1 and M2 are large, smoky, firebird come to mind as good candidates...
