The gameplay stays the same.. so you will not like the MUd version as well.

Turning speed and that is already decent.. only damage and range.

But honestly.. does only pay off if you like it already

Yes, the short ranged turrets are more for support for your team when they go in for objectives. Fire with the burn, Freeze with the freeze, and Isida for the healing. They aren't meant for destruction, but they do fairly well at it too. The turrets that are REALLY meant for destruction are the others.

Fire and freeze are actually very good at tdms and dms, they aren't just for support. :p

I have M3 freeze and M3 wasp, with all MUs,  which is informally called "M4".

If you use a short range weapon, like freeze, firebird, or isida, you MUST have a fast hull, either hornet or wasp.  Your only chance to score is to get close to the enemy as fast as possible.

Hornet is more popular as it has better armor and is almost as fast as wasp, but I like the extra speed of wasp.  Speed is weapon.  An M4 wasp on nitro is VERY hard to control but it's very exciting to drive when you develop your skills.

Here's how I play Tanki.  (I only use freeze & wasp, all the time.)

(1) I only play CTF games.   The other types of games favor large hulls and long range weapons.

(2) If the flag is not well-defended, I go after flags.

(3) If the flag is well-defended, I cruise around mid-field and try to kill enemies.   Having a fast hull allows you to close on them, from the side or rear before they know you are there.

(4) If your team gets ahead in the score, you can continue going for flags, or cruising mid-field for kills ....OR .... you can defend the flag.  Freeze is great for defense, but you need to defend from a concealed position.  Do not sit on the flag.  Hide near the flag, and then kill the enemy when they come into get it.

(5) Accept  the fact that you are going to get killed a lot.  But, if you play aggressively, constantly attacking, you will do well in scoring as you will have more kills than players who are cautious.   You don't LOSE points for getting killed, so who cares?   Even if you get killed, if you damage the enemy, you'll get partial points when the enemy finally does get killed.

(6) Accept the fact that you are going to get flipped a lot, and you will have to self-destruct.  Sometimes you own teammates will do this, if you have creeps on your team.  Often they will do this at the end of the game, when all the enemies have left.  In that case, do not self-destruct, as it will lower your score.  Just rotate your turret every minute or so to keep from getting kicked out of the game for "inactivity."

(7) My favorite maps are kungur and serpuhov...they offer plenty of cover from snipers, and their large size works in your favor if you have a small, fast hull.

Good luck, freezoids.

By the way, I think Prodigi is the best paint as it has the best protection from railgun, which is the most popular gun. It also has good protection against thunder and shaft, two long-range weapons that a tank with a short-range gun like freeze needs protection from.

Prodigi is expensive, so, until you can afford it, use "forester" paint which is very cheap but has good protection against railgun.

I like to use Freeze with Wasp, or with Viking for defense. I'm a big fan since I bought it at WO3. Going to buy M2 at WO5 hopefully.

Freeze effect favors noobs. Slow the hull turning speed, not the turret turning speed.

True. At least the effect on hull should be equal to turret one or opposite to what's existent.

Although Freeze doesn't have a long range of good damage as fire, and also a less cone angle of effect

But its great when used with either viking or titan, because with these 2 hulls then freeze can hit directly its target because of its narrow angle of effect..

While with dictator it looks completely stupid and it misses most of the targets

I'm not a big fan of freeze, but do you think it's worth to micro-upgrade it? Maybe I'll like/appreciate the weapon a bit more with some MUs on it.

cheap MU and much, much better charactersitics in the end of MU process in full :) I'm "old" freeze fan, playing with it (mostly) from lt colonel rank..

from that point,it's main characteristics changed many times with all "balancing" updates, but it's still a hell of weapon in proper hands..

people think that it doesn't take skill to master it..I say LOL :) 'cause people think that it's same gameplay with it like with fire.. wrong ;)

plus..to get back on my first sentence..I'm an old freeze fan, maybe subjective about it ( :P ) but I made more then 75% of my total XP in game using it ;)

What do you pair Freeze M3 with?

depends on map and game mode..last few months I mostly play CP polygon (PRO battles) so viking is only logical choice (m4 too),but for CTF I used to play, hornet would be the best choice..there were times when freeze/hornet/picasso was absolutely dominating combination,in proper hands ofc..and in those times, some particular maps, like red alert and kungur were quite common..today they barelly exist,as an side effect of format battles..picasso..beast of an paint once (and with adequate price tag) is rarelly used theese days..what a pitty :(

now U can't play by using this way....new updates ruin freeze :(

I'm still not a fan of the new Freeze. -_-

Everything would've been fine if the only thing they did was make the freezing effect stronger.

i don't quiet understand what happened to freeze , does it completely freeze u when u get in range and when u run

From it the freezing effect is gone or ..... ?

My own observation on freeze, unfreeze quickly, more energy and takes longer to freeze enemies. Which i might not buy freeze on sale, changed my mind

you must finish all the load in order to freeze someone then they get unfreezed again after 1 second immediately ! and again its maximal damage cone is only 5 meters ! how noob are these developers ! you can't even now runaround a tank while freezing it..
