i played freeze and absolutely owned everything, i don't know what you're talking about o.o

it has very little range of maximal 20 meters, while maximal damage area is 5 meters,

The freeze effect takes 1 second only .. so whats so significant in that? the only good hulls for it now is viking and not hornet anymore, because it can not freeze enemy tanks to go around them .. so they can destroy hornet so fast before it finish its load . gotcha ?

I have changed my mind

Today i played 3 consecutive rounds in polygon using only fully mued freeze and viking , i won all these battles

It wasn't freezing unless after 2 seconds, but its damage was good

However you have to stick to the tanks to cause maximal damage .. hope they extend its maximal damage range

Although its not freezing so much , but today's update of extending its max MUed range up to 25 meters has brought it back to balance

freeze m2 owned generalissimos... (they don't turn the turret so they're forced to press 1 vs an m2 with their m4s ._.)

well it didn't, but it would have, without drugs.

Why a lot of changes on this turret? ever miss the old tanki with that rustics and mature graphics. Bad rebalance, bad change on their graphics. All for the marketing :(

@why so many changes:

I guess they change it a lot because many low-rank tankers complain about beeing helpless once they are froozen.

High level tankers won't complain so much, as they have learner how to fight against a freeze and. and also their M3 hulls and turrets turn much faster, so that beeing froozen is an issue.. but they can live with it and still act. While M0 and M1 tanks are literary stopped to death.

Instead of making the freeze effect weaker in M0 and M1, leave it unchanged in M2 and make it stronger in M3 - tanki changed the whole weapon.

And unfortunately none of their changes helped freeze to come back to it's old user numbers.

It seems now that Freeze has less freezing effect but gives out more damage - sort of like a colder version of Firebird.

I almost never get stopped in my tracks now, but, I have noticed that if a Freeze is literally next to me it can kill me before I can kill it.

There is something just weird about how it works because if the Freeze is a tank or two distance away from me it seems to have almost no freezing or killing power - it almost has to be side by side to really cause damage.

At trick I never really am proficient with is going around in circles around the victim, and avoiding their shots due to their icy stillness. I instead go behind the victim. That trick is a good one for newbies and works with Firebird quite well: fry someone from the behind before they manage to get to you. I love close ranged weapons.  :)

Well if you are on a head-on combat against another player the circle trick is useful. Otherwise the guerrilla tactic is sufficient. Especially if you are trying to distract enemies so that a teammate can take the flag

Was deciding if to buy m3 freeze so i did some rough calculations with data from the wiki.

The turret with the fastest turn speed is firebird and the hull with the fastest turn speed is wasp at m3 levels.

If i were to attack a tank with that combo from behind with freeze it would take roughly 2.5 seconds to destroy it.

At 1.2 seconds turning firebird alone without calculating acceleration or freeze effects the firebird would have been facing me. at 2 seconds his health would be around 7%.

So basically with if the firebird had perfect reactions then i would destroy him with damage alone in around 2.5 seconds and take damage from 1.2 seconds leaving 1.3 seconds of firebirddamage for me which without calculating burn damage would leave my health at 60%

remember seconds start from 0 if you are visualizing this.

0, 1, 2, 3, 4.

IF the person was human and my freeze effect was in place he would be destroyed long before he saw my face. If the person was smart and turned his turret with his hull he would be facing me instantly dont feel like calculating. If i was smart i would do the circle thingy thing we freezes do to keep our of range. :P

That would leave 2.5 seconds of burning for me.(instant turning speed used here)

That would leave me dead if ialsohad wasp. But no one has super reflexes.

freeze would win in that situation. That was hard. finished my last year in school and still doing serious math. :D

Whoever said math aint important in life because no one calculates percentages and does trigonometry daily lied.

MATH IS LIFE

Yes, you can use it to calc models that help you about decisions for the real life (outside the classroom) :)

I assume your calc is correct in case you

- are not spotted by the firebird before you start shooting

- you start shooting at 5m distance as this is the range of max damage

Only thing is that this "5m distance" thing is pretty hard to archieve, if the firebird is neither blind nor totally busy with 2 other opponents at the time beeing... And 5m is pretty boring as it leaves you no agility on the battlefield (agile freeze play was so much fun End of 2014..)

Still I experienced that the freeze was made a little more effective in terms of freezeing.

The last rebalance stated a freezing speed of the hull of 0,7 (70%). Yesterday I read in the russian wiki that it is 60% now (0,6).

I looked it up because I felt my wasp was more slowed down then it used to be the last months.

a mayor advantage of the firebird is that it can inflict burning damage without coming close. The temp increase and burning damage seem to have no correlation to the distance.

I notice that when I fight firebirds with my isida. I outrange them as my damage does not reduce with range.. theirs does.

So while they can hardly do serious damage to me as I keep my range.. I can kill them.

and then afterburn kicks in and I still die -.-

Although I was so far away. It is just the time that matters there.

this afterburn is a very dangerous thing that makes fore so effective.

(but playing fire is boring to me.. wont get it..)
