even if the hornet maxed it's micro upgrades on acc and weight, both stats are still below viking's. Still doesn't make sense.

Viking goes really well with medium range turrets.  I like it with smoky or ricochet.  It is powerful at M1.

I find that viking can work well with close-range turrets as well. For those situations where you need that tiny bit of extra health to get out of the enemy base with the flag.

I prefer using shaft with viking,though.

Either way, viking works well with just about any turret.
