Viking is neither fast nor slow in relation to the other hulls. Think Viking is super slow? Play with a Mammoth

Viking's armour, stability, firm handling, acceleration of all sorts, size, and low base make up for the lower speed, which is not even that low. This is why I like Viking so much after using it for months, or at least when compared to Hunter and more interestingly, the Dictator. Without these attributes, I would go for Dictator as my next favourite hull  :)

Viking M0 is an exercise in patience. You are a bit stronger than other tanks but with the spread of wasps and hornets you are always the slowest. Playing CTF games with this mod is pure frustration.

Viking M1 after the 2015 armor bump is a different story altogether. You can now withstand a lot of damage. I've even noticed other players move on expecting to have killed me, them do a digital double take when they realize I am still alive and coming at them.

M1 speed increases to average if still slightly below most of the other tanks but with a bit of nitro you can usually get where you need to go and get out of a jam. Gone is the M0 feeling of 'cant this thing go any faster?' Very playable.

why use M1 viking when M1 hunter is hell stronger :/

I am basically a freezer. I used hornet with freeze before but found hornet weaker. IT can't get into enemy lines and survive till long. I decided to try viking and as soon as i moved to viking the result was simply awesome. I had an average of making 1000-1500xp a day with hornet. But with viking, now i make 4000-6000xp a day. I get into enemy base and last long killing them over and over again. Viking goes best with freeze for me and its the best tank in tanki online with perfect balance of armour and speed. I'm in love with viking.

A hull that is outclassed at M1 against both Hunter and Dictator, on M2 it's better than both Hunter and Dictator, but on M3, yet again it is ouclassed by Hunter and Dictator.

"outclassed": agreed if you are talking about a vanilla Viking M3.

A Viking M4 is right in the middle of the medium M4 hulls with speed and armour.

The weight is low which is a disadvantage, but besides that the sufficient turning speed, superb acceleration

and the solid feel translate into a very comfy and smooth handling. (test server experience)

The Hunter M4 feels different, not that smooth. A bit like a rusty Hornet I guess. :P

Probably just have to get used to that: besides that it 's a great hull IMO ánd fast.

Probably a better choice with for example Firebird or Hammer.

Dictator M4, that shape (not the looks) and speed: nope.

Tried driving M3 Viking on Skyscrapers during test server open testing. Nearly fell off multiple times.

The handling is ok. (most probably, probably... :D )

The large groundspace the Dictator takes just IMO makes it a "clumsier" hull than the Viking.

Well, been made curious enough by your story I tried the Dictator M2 and Viking M2 on Skyscrapers and Madness

and it 's true that whilst

driving the Dictator when it accidentally hangs partly over an edge it 's easier to bring it back on track.

The huge hull "floats" more. Don 't know how to express it otherwise. ( same reason why it 's a Golddigger I guess)

When I do the same with the Viking and go partly over the edge it 's like the tracks on one side get more stuck and it takes

more time and calm steering to gently get it back on track. Be hasty and you might fall.

So while you certainly have a point here it is really not a problem for me in daily battles.

I often play in Madness with Viking/Smoky and the tracks in this Map are even more open than Skyscrapers,

and I honestly cruise around with ease also when on N2O.

No need to fall off: just stay on track and don 't be a sloppy driver that 's all... :P
