I used to prefer titan over mammoth, but after the rebalance, everything changed and I don't understand why people still want titan over mammoth

The things that make a hull "heavy" are power, weight, speed, HP. Mammoth beats titan in every aspect except speed, reverse acceleration and turning speed which seldom matter in an all drug battle (which these hulls are usually used for) or when you are camping and killing. In these parameters too, the difference is not major and mammoth has another rarely talked about advantage, great turret placement. The turret is placed on the right edge and hence makes it great for weapons like shaft, vulcan to attack by peeking from a corner. Mammoth isn't as high as titan but these hulls aren't even made for catching golds, are they? And still people say mammoth is "worthless", "trash", some are even making articles on "is mammoth even good?". Could someone please explain me the reason for this !?! Why is mammoth not regarded as a good hull? Why does everyone like Titan better?

dont get me wrong i love mammoth and i forever will, but lets be honest that speed makes all the difference, and even though mammoth has more weight and power, a titan would still be able to push it head on because of that added speed and acceleration force (ive tested this) so titan is still technically the most "powerful" hull. plus, they both carry the same amount of armor points, so whats the point of using mammoth? yes, the turret placement is a bit different on mammoth, which proves useful for players who use shaft perhaps, but other than that its very situational.

the new over drive features being unique to each hull as tanki's chance to make mammoth balanced with titan, but the overdrive for mammoth just isnt as effective and useful as titans will be...

The mammoth has lower hull points at the lower levels than titan, and it's slower. I guess the M3s are similar, but the titan is still faster and has better geo location staying power (weight, power etc.) One thing , the mammoth is cheaper, and if you can micro upgrade fast at the lower levels, you'll have an advantage over the titan.

Also, the mammoth's turret is farther forward, which is good for sneak shots.

I use the mammoth all the time. I have a titan, but I didn't upgrade it much. The game can be expensive.

I haven't had luck with capture flags in the mammoth. It's good for DM, TDM, and CP. I don't hang back in it, I use it for direct assaults.

Why mammoth has to be slower and has less hitpoints than titan? If it has less hitpoints then I think it should be at least faster than titan and titan wayy slower. Mammoth should be the hull with the most hitpoints.

Because "balance".

I admit to wasting crystals on Mammoth, when it had way more HP. It's sad that now I get wrecked by Titan in almost every aspect. BUT at least I can rest easy knowing I didn't waste them on Dictator.

It's because Overdrives will now distinguish hulls in the same class apart, not their HP.

Titan only has more HP than Mammoth at M1 and M2, because it costs more and is therefore "Stronger".

Today I have seen a very unusual tank in the game which does not exist at all. This tank had a Twins like turret with long barrels. Its hulls was Mammoth like and moved quicker than Wasp. This tank was very hard to destroy. Please can you explain to me where this tank comes from and why is it here in Tanki Online. There hasn't been any new turrets or hulls released recently.

Is this tank here due to the War Herald?

Was this a hack or cheat?

Here is a proof of this unusual tank in the screenshot below.

This unusual tank is the green tank you see right in front of me with the Twins laser turret and Mammoth like hull. His nickname is called "impulse".

Please can you also explain this:

I need to know how "impulse" managed to acquire these items. Take a good look at his profile and report this to the Community Manager "Nives". Raise the awareness of this for further investigation.

Impulse is an official tester for TO. If he has something it is from the devs for testing.

I did not know that impulse was an official tester for Tanki Online. How did he managed to buy this strange turret and hull?

They probably gave him the items just as they give certain paints for staff members. It certainly has raised eyebrows so I guess the developers will give out some kind of information about them anytime soon. It's weird to see that the real servers are being used for testing new items. Quite the contrary of what the staff has told us actually; it seems they are indeed working on some form of new turrets and hulls.

But really, what did it fired at you? what kind of noises did it make?

Did the hull had any special abilities?

I got it today on discount. More stable and wider than titan but slow as hell. Been using it with vulcan which must have been buffed because it's better than I remember.

A lot of people had been saying Vulcan was weak.

I decided to try it on my alt account anyway because - well - it's an alt.

Rank of major and Vulcan upgraded to M2.5

Gotta say it performs well.

And is unstoppable if you have isida on your team. Entered a Pro-no-supply-battle TDM with other team winning 12-0. The vulcan turned that battle around and we won 75-69.

FYI - also have freeze m2.5 on same account - but - vulcan is my default turret - even after the (OP) freeze buff.

IF you are fortunate enough to have an isida on your team that understands the domination that can result in pairing up a vulcan and an isida into a death machine, you are right. I can't understand some of the teams I am on...we will lose unnecessarily with an isida never healing or helping my titan/vulcan combo.

When I use the m4 isida, I first look for a vulcan depending on the battle kind.

Not a bad hull to use these days. I still get pretty good scores on my first account using it.

Well the Hull OD will make it more good

ugly and slow hull that no 1 uses because it is outclassed by titan. Titan has more health, is cheaper, faster, better aceleration, can push better, better turret position, and it will have team overdrive
