First: Isida + mammoth is ONLY strong in small maps and when drugging. But I do not drug very often, so hornet is a better way to go. I agree being in key locations with isida/mammoth helps, but it's lack of speed will make it pay. All it takes is ONE rail, thunder, shaft, smokey, twins, and freeze to take you out, or at least slow you down. Plus, when following someone with the flag, you must be able to keep up with them in order to heal.

Second: twins + mamnoth is an ablsolutly dominate force. And so is thunder. Both have range, strength, and a lot of firepower. But it also depends on the size of the map as well. And what type of battle it is as well. These would be my pick of the two guns in these types of battles (assuming they are all in the same map, and the map is medium sized):

Control Points- Twins, it is great for defending and taking control of the battle!

Capture The Flag- Twins, again, it is a great defender, and how is it possible to take the flag when a fat mammoth is on top of it?
Team Deathmatch- Thunder, because you don't necessarily have to kill your opponent, you just have wound them. And you can with thunder, even if they can't see you.

Deathmatch: This one was a tough one. Both represent a different playing style, and are very strong. But, if the battle would be in a common place like polygon, I would have to choose thunder. Its range is the key factor into deciding this. And you cannot take kills as easily as you could against a twins.

Well, both are excellent guns; each playing to their own strengths and weaknesses. Overrall, because I perfer quick kills, I ENJOY playing twins more. Though some range is nice as well. Leran to master these weapons with mammoth and upgrade them to m3, and you will be unstoppable!

I've used Mammoth with Isida a few times, and it's not a bad combo, as long as you're prepared to play defensively and not attack unless you're using drugs. I find the best thing to do is camp behind cover by some of the chokepoints on the map (silence for example) and heal friendlies as they pass through these chokepoints and push the other team back.

Yes, playing defensively can work. But when you play defensively, I can assure you that MOST of the time, you will not even be ranked in the top 4 in that battle (with isida = mammoth). Yes there are exceptions, but one key factor to being a good isida is healing a lot of people, and killing some opponents. Plus, if you just wait at a certain point, yes you may be able to heal your opponents, but lets consider the possiblity of other isidas being on your team. If you just wait and play defensively, the other isidas will get to the the wounded allies before they will be able to come for you.

My bad, there are some grammer and spelling issues I am going to address:

3 posts above this one, on the first paragraph, second line- I meant to say " All it takes is ONE rail, thunder, shaft, smokey, twins, or freeze," instead of saying "and".

3 posts above this one, on the last line- I mean to spell "learn" instead of "leran".

1 post above this one, on the beginning of the second line- I meant to say, "(with isida + mammoth)," instead of saying "(with isida = mammoth)".

You could've edited the grammar mistakes out; it's pointless making a NEW post to point out your grammar mistakes.

Not Isida unless you drug. . .or your enemies are dumb enough to go close-combat with you and stay in range.

I could have, yes. But that would suggest I realized I made the spelling and grammer mistakes BEFORE I posted it.

I am very sure it is. Like I said, isida + mammoth is good in small maps. Island is like, the smallest map, well, and ping-pong.

Yep. That's what I hate about it when I'm drugging. When it kills me I know it just gained a whole lot of health back. :(

still, just keep the distance and he can't do anything.

Yep. But on Drugs it's pretty much a raging beast..

Agree, drugged mammoth with isida is the hardest thing, if not impossible, to kill in the game.  I've seen guys come into games where I was playing for 30 minutes on the verge of winning, with two or three mammoths of m2 or higher + isidas and drugging going directly for flag at the same time and take the game.  Nothing you can do but kiss your flag and winnings goodbye.

why use a Mammoth ( slowest tank) and firebird, freeze and icada ( gun that shoot short distance guns). Instead use a long distance one such as thunder ,smokey and shaft.

Well, I agree that you should use guns with a longer range, however, firebird, freeze, and isida are all the most annoying guns with a mammoth when it is drugging.
