So I watch that video and literally everyone in that battle was using M2 Mammoth (except for a few wasps). Is it that good?

No its a horrible thing for DM's, which used to be the fastest best way to earn crystals.  Now the fund rises slower as there are less kills and if its a battle to a set amount of kills, it takes MUCH longer now since everybody uses mammoth m2 and they take longer to kill.  I used to be able to get something like 300 kills per hour, now its more like 100 since I'm shooting at all Mammoths.

 

 The sale on mammoth IMO was the worst move Tanki could've made as it was already a dirt cheap hull.  Shouldve never included it as an option for the half off voting sale.  Even people who never had interest in it bought it simply because it was so dirt cheap (36K for m2!!!).

 

To compensate for their mistake, I think they should make the battle fund raise faster in DM's now as this stupid sale has nearly ruined the fun of them.

Lol, not EVERYBODY uses Mammoth M2; you're over exaggerating. Sure, a LOT of people use it but Hornets are very popular as well and you can see Wasp, Titan and even...dare I say it...Hunter as well. They'd obviously have to include it in the sale or it wouldn't be fair; Hornet and VIking weren't included for valid reasons.

Yep... Too many Mammoths make a very bad attack - in a Sandbox 3/4 of my team were Mammoths, and I remember shouting "Attack!" then laughing to myself as our slow tanks chugged daintily along to the flag :).

it depends on what the enemies use, I prefer thunder because you can kill-steal :)

Agreed. Twins can kill-steal, but it is much more difficult than Thunder. And Thunder is much more fun in my opinion.

It takes maybe 2, maximum 3 shots for an M3 Rail to kill me. And those do hurt, even if I'm an M2 Mammoth.

 

3 Shots to take a Mammoth M2 down using M2 Railgun.

 

M1 takes maybe 3-4.

 

Don't bother with M0.

Mammoth was the first hull I bought M1, and I currently use it to great effect with the M1 Thunder. It's great for drug wars and smashing tanks aside to grab the gold boxes ;)

i have all the tanks and turrets and a M2 mammoth, and my favourite combo is mammoth+shaft+Dirty paint because it is great on sniper maps. however, I agree; isidia and firebird do go well with mammoth both attacking and defending.

I think Firebird goes better with Hornet to be honest, skilled Firebird players know that you don't have to burn the enemy until they are destroyed, just until they have low health and afterburn will destroy them - after that you'd want to quickly get away before the enemy can damage you... Mammoth is too slow.

Mammoth/Firebird is good in small-medium maps like Silence. And maybe in Farm it can help un-freeze teammates. :lol:

 

Don't have to run away. Hide behind a wall and burn enemies passing by.

 

Or they run-away and burn affect kills him.
