Because, while Cedar is Great at protecting me at thunder, m2 rails can one shot meh :/

Hum. I find it interesting who you would capitalize 'great' when it's an adjective and don't to 'Cedar' which is a proper known.  :/

 

But anyways of course you should get it. M2 Wasp is a long way away and MU's aren't going to help anymore. But of you want to compromise, you can rank to 1LT and get Sandstone which offers decent protection from the both.

That doesn't work at higher modifications, since Twin's recoil will utterly screw up your stability/driving. I decided to try out M3 Twins on M3 Wasp on the test server for fun, and it did not work well at all.

Can't answer to that really, since i haven't tryed their M3 modifications yet. But i still doubt that it would be a bad combo, even with the recoil that you mention.
