At base stats, yes, wasp m2 does beat hornet m2. But, wasp m2 also costs 30k more than hornet m2. If those 30k are used to MU hornet, then you can upgrade it by around 16 steps, which will increase its health by 15.5 HP to 154 HP against wasp m2's 136 HP. It is also available in the garage before wasp m2. But then and again, wasp is also faster than hornet. So, it comes down to personal preference as the stats are well balanced.

MU=Time. II takes hours for the first steps so imagine 16. In the days it would take you to MU Hornet's health, you can get 30k or more.

What I don't understand is why do people consider MU'es as 'pointless'? What difference does it make in buying m2 hornet and spending 30k on micro upgrading it instead of buying m2 wasp? Also, wasp m2 is also better than hornet m3 in 2 aspects only: speed and turning speed, while m2 hornet after being bestowed with micro upgrades worth 30k so that it's overall cost is around the same as wasp m2's is better than m3 wasp in one aspect: health. Honestly, from here it's just a matter of choice: whether to choose health or speed.

Please use some inferring skills. Did I say anything about ranks? Nope. If you had an open mind you would see that i was speaking from a crystal standpoint, not rank 

 

Yes, Spend 30k which you could use on the  better M3 but on the M2 :)

The only thing that is actually good about M2 hornet is that it is cheap.

Hornet M2: five ranks before Wasp M2 you can already enjoy it, it 's stable and a great jumper, it drifts...but is also less sensive and nervous than the Wasp when turning,

it has a very decent HP and you spare crystals: the Wasp M2 102.700 minus Hornet M2 70.500 = 32.200 crystals.

 

With 32.200 crystals you can almost buy Corrosion (34.500) at full price...

 

Cheap... :D
