Wasp is okay, but I personally believe Hornet is better.

At the open, probably yeah.

But you'll be way better off with a Wasp when driving trough the corners or around obstacles and enemies.

http://prntscr.com/6ifhnq There were 5 Rails in this battle (4 in this specific match) I've learned a few things about how to avoid flipping :D Even with M2 and M3 Rails in there I only flipped 3 times out of 3 matches :D

I'm increasingly noticing negligible or no difference in wasp and hornet speed (non-nitro).  I have M1 wasp... can't really tell if the hornets are M0 or M1 but they are just as fast as I am which really surprises me.  Here's what happens - I steal flags and zip away at top wasp M1 speed.  I know a hornet is behind me, so I weave and eventually turn a corner.  I should be well ahead of the hornet, but no... it's still right behind me and usually makes the kill and returns the enemy flag.

 

Anyone else notice this? I don't think the hornets are drugging.

The Hornet has a slightly better acceleration so at a very short distance it will be faster,

but soon you should be able to outrun a Hornet with a Wasp.

 

A Wasp M1 has a standard top speed of 10.8, fully MU 'd that can become 11.6 (=fast!)

A Hornet M1 has a standard top speed of 10, fully MU 'd that can become only 10.3

 

Wasps are simply made to outrun Hornets.

Perhaps if crystal-wise allowed you could invest some first MU 's in your Wasp M1 power/acceleration

and especially in micro-upgrading the top speed: which is ofcourse the Wasp 's sweet spot!

Because of the late upgrade to Wasp M2 IMO it is definitely worth it.

(and no need to mention, but still: use that top speed! Even at my rank I still meet "stationary" Wasps...sigh...)

I like this tank, it's very fast and manoeuvrable, the right tank to steal flags. The only problem is the stability..

If a Wasp-Fire could get the highest score in poly CP, that means, your team were extremely bad.
