If you are very skilled tank driver and very accurate, you can totally dominate with an alt account with Wasp Smoky. Most people don't pickup supplies or turn their turrets, and they get totally wrecked! Against people around my rank though, it becomes a little trickier since people are fast enough to keep up and accurate enough to hit you. However, you can still be very successful in putting pressure into your enemies by taking flags and attacking from weird angles.

Thanks for the info. I plan on continuing to use Firebird + Wasp, so I will keep that in mind.

Yep, just zig-zag across cover, use alternate routes, get the jump on a poor tanker below, get DD and nitro drops. etc. It takes more effort as ranks get higher, but it trains your dodging, circling, and aggro skills up so much!

wasp is the first speed hull to unlock that is what makes it so OP at my rank along with smoky or firebird M1

It'd get less OP in about 3-4 ranks later.

Once M2 Hornet unlocks, Wasp loses some of its effectiveness. But like the player above me said, a few MUs and a skilled driver will negate that. Once you get closer to the M3 ranks however, things become a little different.

I'm talking about aesthetically.

Wasp just get headlights and a skirt of armor, but Mammoth gets additional plating and headlights.

Yes I never understood why all the other M2 hulls get a nice ring of metal around them, and some headlights, but the Wasp gets nothing but a tiny square of armor added to the treads. Makes it hard to tell the difference from M1 to M2, unless you look at the Wasp from the rear (M2 has that grey back plate). For the price you pay for it, it sure isn't worth the looks.

This is an insanely fun hull, especially with firebird. I have the firefly kit on my alt(Flaming_Death49), and being m1s at a low rank, i usually dominate the match. One fun map is barda. I can "fly" into the blue team's base. In several instances, there has been a heavy hull camper guarding the flag thinking they are the best. With my trusty speed boost i can use the ramp to fly over their heads, catch the top of the flag, and land safely on the other side. I then speed away and capture it. Anyone who has done this knows what fun it is, if you haven't, TRY IT!

Wasp M4 has more protection than Hornet M3. :) But most people will not stick with Wasp that long. When I get Boreas Kit for myself and upgrade the Wasp M3 I will let you know how it compares to other M3 combos (I am a Wasp fan and have the most experience with that hull).

Use the speed to your advantage Run circles around your enemies, wreaking havoc. Focus on throwing your enemies into confusion and take the flag (if you are in CTF).

you'll notice the difference in the game.

If the pilot constantly beats the sh*t out of you, it is most likely M2  ;)

(The stepping from M1 to M2 is huge.. it feels very ,very awesome)

What should be the proper mindset when using Wasp?

Actually a very good question.

I think it totally depends on the turret.

If you have some heavy damage dealer (railgun, Firebird) then it's hit and run; sneak intp position and hit them hard, and be on your escape route already. This actually needs a lot of patience.. because it is so easy to fall into a rushing mode. But it makes sense to wait until the tank has passed by and then atack him from behind (you catch them easeily, while infront of them you die easily).

What helps me most is a constant use/change of the camera persepective. So I can stay out of sight, while I itch and stich their flagrunners with my railgun from each and every corner. Same for firebird.. when I know he comes around this corner, I hide, let him pass by, and then roast em from behind.

As you have pretty bad brakes and a bad acceleration, it is vital to map your path through the crowd a little in advance.

Also with wasp it is very important, to count the seconds for their reload time. Can you make it to the next hideout before they relaod, or will he shot you on your straight run? If time is short, fake an escape and perform a dodge when you know his reaload time is about to end.
