Wasp-Thunder is fun to use, but unfortunately it's quite fragile. It's often quite hard to run away without taking fire.

I was referring to Wasps' fragility, mostly. Thunder's self damage makes Thunder-Wasp a really bad choice for very close range combat.

Wasp thunder used to be a close range combo. Now its better IMO, but it was still fun. I can get less damage on my wasp then on my mammooth. Hide and seek, voila!

With skills and a N20, you can dominate Polygon with that combo.

Exactly, generally Polygon is a bad map for Wasp, so I was proving that point, but in a different way ;)

Maybe you should have gotten M2 Thunder instead of Rustle. I mean, sure, it's great, but you need M2 turrets now. You have good paints and a good hull, so Rustle seems to be a misplaced purchase. I think you're at the rank where you should get a M2/M2 combo.

 

My M1s will still carry me pretty far, so that's not a huge concern for me right now. I might get M2 Isida on a 50% sale, but I'd prefer the amazingly OP M2 Ricochet (ridiculously large amount of bang for your buck) if I can rank up to 1st Lieutenant by Christmas/New Year's. I like Rico just as much as Thunder.

No, it was a smart purchase. Even with just M1 Thunder, that paint has improved my performance drastically. A lot less Self-Destructing, which leads to better DLs, better scores, and ultimately more money. Fact is, if I was going to continue with Thunder, I needed a strong Thunder paint.

Self damage without rustle was so painful to me, as a Thunder M2 user :P Rustle can be very good for wasp thunder, but its true that trom shouldve got thunder m2.
