Microupgrades - are they FAIR?

 Share

Recommended Posts

All I can get is the Russian test server (even though I chose English test server 4) and it doesn't have micro upgrades. :/

To get into the English test server: Change "ru4" (in the URL above) to "en4". That's how I get into it.

Testing of micro-upgrades is over.

The truth is that tanki needs money. But what is truth?

Truth is just a matter of perspective. (skipping a few lines) The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match."

It's a SHOP that we're buying from, and there is no FAIR. If you don't like the price (crystals+risk) don't buy it, no one is stopping you.

Is the price of your next weapon upgrade fair? It's not fair or unfair. It's just there.

Thank you.

I also think this topic is useless, because microupgrades can't be categorized as "fair" and "not fair". Is the milk price in your grocery shop fair? It's a SHOP that we're buying from, and there is no FAIR. If you don't like the price (crystals+risk) don't buy it, no one is stopping you.

+1. I 100% agree with you there. If I had a positive vote, I'd display it, but I've run out

I kind of think the MU's are a joke. I mean, they just did an RB a while ago, and now they're going to unbalance it again except in a different way.

Basically, the people who pay money for crystals are going to have a monster advantage over the ones like me who don't.

People who don't pay for crystals can't really afford to keep clicking the "Try Again" button, or the "Speed Up" button over and over, because they know they can't just get more instantly.

Tanki Online is trying to half-force you into buying crystals, because they know you aren't going to leave your PC sitting there for 25 hours while it upgrades when you can pay money and click the button.

You guys can tell me that I don't have to buy MU's, but that still won't change the fact that people who do buy them are going to kick everyone else's ***'s all over the map.

Even if I do only max one MU, the chances get ridiculously small when you get close to the end. In testing, I burnt through 100,000 crystals maxing my Railgun's damage.

If they do pass these into the game, they need to speed the slider WAY up.

OK, rant is over, but I still hope they cancel these.

*sigh* it's sad that people contradict themselves so much. Now, where shall I start? Oh yes, the buyer advantage? Not so. First off, prices aren't final. If you have a brain, and have been reading the topic, you would have noticed that federal said that there will be more open testing after the first one. They are still trying to improve it. For gods sake man, stop complaining about it. Anyway, buyers do not have much more of an advantage then the non-buyers when buying MU's. the prices are affordable and yes there may be a chance of not getting it which gets higher and higher as the upgrades go up, but think of that as an advantage. If more people give up in the higher upgrades of MU's, then there will not be much of a firepower difference and all around difference in the guns.

As far as not wanting to press the try again button over and over, big deal! Not everyone is going to micro upgrade everything. Plus without this feature, every micro upgrade would be 10x more expensive! Therefore, buyers would have the advantage of getting a bunch of crystals and buying expensive MU's. Then buyers would have an advantage.

This next one is my favorite. Again, you have not been reading the MU update details. While you wait for Your MU to install, you can play with another weapon. Or even better, you don't have to have the computer on to keep the MU timer going down. You can shut it off and do real life things and then come back and TA DA! Your MU is installed. :)

This next one is interesting. People are not going to kick ass. Wanna know why? Here's an example. Right now, if your a lower or slight high rank or whatever you can play with people that have a higher m then you. I.E you have m1, they have m2/m3. Do they kick your ass? Depends on how good you are. Remember that MU's only have as much power as 75 percent of the next M. So once again, you have contradicted yourself.

Maxing one out isn't as hard as you think. And if that was rail m3, or m2, that makes sense. Even if it does, notice that if you max 1 out, you get a 10-15 percent discount on the next M PER 1 characteristic that is maxed out. You think it's gonna be easy earning a discount on the next M? No. It won't be.

*facepalm* if you have been up with the discussions, you would have seen semyon say that the slider will now move 2x faster in the next testing after the first testing that everyone hated then it did before.

Now please, before you make stupid MU rants, please check your facts. THANKS. :)

This is the only advantage I have of having many stupid M1's.

Ikr. Smoky sucks till you get it m2, shaft doesn't get any good at all till m2, the list goes on. MU's will at least give me a chance to upgrade these m1's. -_-
