hi, railgun hornet users,

 

which paint is better?

 

"Prodigi" vs "Emerald" with some cheap mu steps

 

(47% rail + 32% thunder + 22% shaft) vs (45% thunder + 36% twins + 12% rail)

 

 

seems, 32% thunder vs 45% thunder; later one means hornet 210 health can surely survive 4 shots

 

90*4*0.68 = 244.80000000000001

90*4*0.55 = 198.00000000000003

 

47% rail means surely survive 2 railgun shots

 

199*2*0.53 = 210.94

railgun m3+ take 6.6s to make 2nd shot

thunder m3+ take 2s to make 2nd shots

 

before 2nd shot of rail, thunder already made 3 shots,

 

so the last moment is 1 rail shot vs 1 thunder shot, while survive 4th thunder shot is important to make the end shot of rail.

with prodigi, after shot from 1 rail and 1 thunder, you can sure survive 166 damage

>>> 199*0.53+90*0.68 = 166.67000000000002

 

with prodigi, even 1 rail and 2 thunder shots can mostly survive if lucky

>>> 199*0.53+90*0.68*2 = 227.87

 

with Emerald, after shot from 1 rail and 1 thunder, you died most time

>>> 90*0.55+199*0.88 = 224.62

so the questions, is railgun more annoying for rail user or thunder not annoying for rail user.

 

when you see a thunder m3+ on hornet m3+ with prodigi keeps killing, you wish to have "Emerald"

 

when you see a railgun m3+ on hornet m3+ with prodigi starting breaking the law of "United Rail in DM", you wish you have "prodigi" as well.  :P

however, it is easier to cause a rail enemy miss a shot and thunder splash damage can chase u faster before hiding.  :(

OR, for cheaper price, you can have 2 paints mued:  

 

-  Tundra 35k with 10k mu: 37% railgun  (37k mu for 41%)         vs 47% rail of prodigi

-  Cedar  42k with 21k mu: 41% thunder (47k mu for 44%)         vs 45% thunder of emerald

 

way cheaper than 143k Emerald and 192k Prodigi with mu

if you buy in 50% discount time, that is

Tundra 41% rail: 17k+37k=54k

Cedar  44% thunder:  21k+47k= 68k

Total: 122k

 

Prodigi 47% rail + 32% thunder: 96k + 28k mu = 124 k 

Emerald 45% thunder + 12% rail: 71k + 7k mu = 78 k

in practise, survive 2 railgun shot really require at least 45% rail protection, that means Tundra is useless in this case,

 

so just get Cedar for thunder protection, way cheaper.

 

it seems, for railgun protection, only Prodigi make sense, the rest paint just wont make you survive 2 m3+ shots, and most time, it take 2 rail shots to kill any hull any way,

Get Prodigi for hornet and wasp, that is only meaningful paint for railgun protection to survive 2 killing shots

Get Cedar if thunder is really a hater for you.

Get Emerald if thunder is really a hater for you, and you like spend 10k for extra 26% twins proteciton

 

Forget about all other railgun protection paint if you are hornet and wasp, those are for heavy hulls,

 as without 45% rail protection, you die in 2 rail m3+ shots any way.

without hide quickly within 6 sec, or if thunder is chasing behind rail, mostly likely rail will die even with emerald paint.

First - very good post.

 

Second - if you assume they will see one another in the same moment, and both have ammo bar full, that would change equiations.

1st shot of Rail in over 1sec delay + 2 x (reload + delay) = ~14 seconds

1st shot of Thunder right away + 4 x reload = 8 seconds

 

Third - that is only true for distance < 70 m

The way you asked i would have said prodigi or emerald...but i think u can get corrosion and it's a superb paint for rail thunder and shaft..

My wasp m1 sometimes survive railgun m1, but with forester it always survives railgun.

Reach 1st lt buy thunder kit m2 can't be killed by thunder and rail (in kit is prodigi 46% railgun protection and emerald very high thunder protection). It makes no sense to me. . . A 3rs lt with a marshal paint... It needs 4 or 5 shots for rail m1 to take it down.

You know, this player named Godmode_ON has a paint that gives him 98% protection to every turret and 100% protection to freeze and firebird.
