Let's Discuss Paints!

after extensive homework :D I think Africa, Zeus and clay covers from all of the turrets with at least 3 protections or more each. only exception being shaft and isida. so alien and dirty for them. how is this idea. I think it is a cost effective plan, rather than buying lower paints with lesser percent or number of protection. what do you think? constructive suggestions are most welcome.

my 3paint choise:

1. inferno a bit mu-ed: 41% fire, 45% freeze, 18% twins (far cheaper than zues)

2. needle fully mu-ed: 50% smoky, 50% shaft, 40% rico (my main paint)

3. africa: 20% hammer, 25% thunder, 30% vulcan, 25% twins (same like inferno, just for coverage when needed)

the only thing not protected is Railgun, Isida (when facing these guns, you either dead or alive)

I have really thought about it wouldn't it be neat to have some paint with moving features, for example in the paint lava if the lava moved it would give the paint a whole new perspective. The same with swash it that paint had moving features it would be unique.

In conclusion i suggest that tanki should consider adding movement to paints, but for those who think the idea of moving features is ridicules tanki should install in the settings a option to turn on movement in their tanks paint or to see the movement in other tanks paint.

:P  ;)

Don't go for Alien or Dirty. They indeed have a decent protection against Isida and Shaft respectively, but you'll hardly use them in battles. They only offer proper protection against 1 specific weapon and are therefore quite useless in my opinion.

I still use my Alien and it great in looks and performance :p

Dirty is the best long paint in the game , unless you spend ALOT of $$$. I like how you did not mention dirty protects against rail. Shaft and rail are the only  two long range sniper weapons in this game, now :( , and also the two highest per shot damage weapons in the game. Perhaps you play on short range maps where there is no sniping and also where rails are not as common. Or maybe you play light hulls where you die anyway if hit by these things.

Also dirty is "masking paint" and if you are in "bushes" with dirty paint,  people will not see you. It is possible to hide a Titan with dirty paint with one or two bushes .

In PRO-battles without MU Emerald works better against thunder of course, but its protection from Twins and Railgun is indeed not necessary, not very useful or remarkable. Therefore I'd suggest you to skip Emerald and go for Prodigi. I've got Emerald in my garage and the last time I used it was more than 6 months ago. ;)

Ricochet is notoriously common used at your rank and it's still being used commonly at higher ranks. Therefore some good protection paint is comfortable. If you rank up twice, you're able to buy Dragon which has 28% protection against ricochet, however I recommend you not to spend to many crystals to paints now. Achieve higher ranks and buy better paints then. The paints that unlock at low ranks are not useful anymore at higher ranks. As for Hammer, some protection is welcome, but it's not necessary in my opinion. Vulcan is more dangerous.

Wait a minute, the best prodigi can do is block an extra 1 or 2 shots while emerald guarantees an extra block from railgun and still does similar protection, so in mu opinion, emerald is better

A maxed Hiroshima is very similar to zeus! So i will max on that and forget zeus

Prolly Hohloma, which has some rico protection. Zeus does not.

Progidi looks like the best paint in the game now. For a Med-Long range paint.

I am all ears to know why people always compare generalissimo paints with others. they provide at least 25% protection against at least 3 guns without any mu, almost. this is unique. and in a battle, you get almost all turrets on enemy tanks. so...

Started a new account , managed to acquire "lead" paint. While not a $$$$ paint, If you hide a hunter withit  in bushes and use a non -traceable weapon, you get VERY invisible. To the point of enemy tanks running into you  .

Need a paint with recent protection against Rico AND Rail. Savana fits but is way too pricey since I don't need/want the high percentage smoky protection. Anyone else feel like this is a gap?

I'm First Lieutenant and still use Forrester, fully upgraded to 15% protection. It's very effective since there are always a lot of rails out there. Most get frustrated when they can't one-shot my MUd Viking with MUd paint ;)

Anything is possible. M0 and M1 have not been effective enemies though.

Does make me wonder if anyone has a chart listing what one can expect on battlefields at each new rank. Something one could consult when about to level up in order to know what new hulls and turrets will show up next time one plays.

Buy Tundra(for Rail def) and Desert(Rico def), (total 58K, possibly 29K on sale) and swap them out depending on the worst threat per battle., plus they carry other protection relevant to short or long range battles.

I do this alot currently between Dirty and Dragon, I use Dirty mostly(as Rail and Shaft are the meanest 1 shot long range weapons, plus it is adaptive camo) but if there are too many Rico's I switch to Dragon.

Obviously the cheapest way, would be for you to buy dragon(3K) and swap with forrester depending on the main threat. You might want to do this till the June sale , and then do the above(Tundra/Desert) or not.

And if you REALLY want to do the "AND", forget Savannah, and buy Clay

That is kinda surprising or those rail gunners don't understand math. Because even an M2 rail with DD(about 180-270), won't kill an M1 Viking with forrester and some armor improvements (230 or so) more than half the time. And no DD , you can't die.

Though I don't know , I drive in the open/expose myself on purpose just to suck in a few rail and shaft hits, so they aren't shooting at other people on my side. I must discourage the hell out of people after i get hit 3-4-5-6 times and don't die  . Then find a wrench , rinse, repeat.

A Titan with Dirty (sometimes DA) can do that.

These days wat is a good paint?

At your rank (WO1), I would suggest "Storm" (9000 crystals). It protects you from Firebird (starts from 20%) and a bit from hammer and Freeze. If you play CTF, it is a good paint because there are usually Firbirds defensing the flag. If you are tired from being killed by Shaft, get "Dirty" (17500 crystals). It protects you from Shaft (stars from 26%) and some from Railgun. Especially when you play in larger map (e.g. Rio CTF), where lots of snipers around. I MUed it to 33% and use it with Viking -- good results. I will get "Desert" in the next sale because after the last update lots of players use Ricochet and Ricochet is OP today. But you have to wait until next rank (WO2). You may also think of getting some low price paints even those only protect your tank from a single weapon at a time. I know they don't have high percentage of protection but you can easily afford plenty of them, especially when there is a sale. You may keep changing paints to fit the situation in a battle because the equipment-change time limit is now reduced to only 1 minute. I would suggest you to skip "Marine" and directly get "Storm" (if you don't own "Marine"); "Storm" is really good in defensing Firebird, especially the afterburn effect. I am still using it at my rank (1st Lt.). If you think "Dirty" will use up most of your crystals, get "Lead" (2000 crystals), and may be "Forester" (500 crystals) also. They are affordable and they help.

Anyway, wait for the next sale (4 June and the following weekend, I believe). Don't buy anything at this moment. You will safe a lot and can buy more. Good Luck.

paints doesn't matter if you have enough skills to survive.

hope you understand my point,

for EX :- i still use storm for some battles :) it is the 1st m1 paint i bought :)
