I miss paint kits :( 

I'd like to see devs trash the idea of modules and bring paint kits back. Or introduce new paints instead, purple paints i'd like to have a proper paint rainbow for this acc or codeine paint for my alt. The dissintegration business isn't a worthwhile idea for all the changes it would need to work imo

What do you think about the upcomming paint/protection update (watch the 2 latest V-logs if you haven't)? I consider it kind of unfair to low- and mid-rank players, who cannot buy the highest tier 4-protection paints (africa, lumberjack, etc.) now, while highest rank players can and will gain advantage when the update comes.

I'm really kinda regretting not buying Urban on sale. Lacking Twins protection really hurts on Poly CP, which is about the only battle left. At this point, I will hold out for next sale or see what happens with Modules.

What paint should I fully MU? I was thinking Nano, for both looks at decent protections.

Ok so paints, much like mu is good to a point.  Paints start terrible and get better as you progress.  Now the problem is their prices.  Paints are too expensive for what little they actually do.

But there are some exceptions. An upgraded Loam makes you nearly invulnerable to a fire attack. Clay for Ricoccet. Rock for Twins. Tiger for Hammer. Etc.

I was speaking as a whole.  Naturally Loam, Zeus, Clay, Graffiti, etc are all exceptions to this rule....Mind you when they come though.  Not until major and later.

That's not entirely true - my Storm, MUd 6/10 (it only cost about 6-7k cry during the MU sale don't judge k) really is very useful in battle, especially in Poly CPs, against the Fire/Wasps and Hornets which abound there. All in all it's cost me around 13k, since I bought and MUd during sales. A relatively sizable amount, at my rank, but worth it, due to the immense amount of protection (26%) I now have against Firebirds. 

 

I do agree that most paints are complete wastes of money, but it's not true that all exceptions come before major. 

 

 

 

And maybe it was a bad idea to buy and MU Storm, since I plan on getting Atlas which has Loam, but I'm going to be using Storm for like 7 ranks until I reach Captain so it's fine ok.

Some news I have seen from the test server: all of the colors cost the same, and the new section in the garage has the symbol of a shield. There are mono, duo, and trio protections. At m0, they all have 10% protection and all protections for m0 are unlocked by master seargent. All m1 protections unlock by ~wo3, m2 by first lieutenant, and m3 by lieutenant general. Not every trio of protections is covered, as there would have to be 990 trios alone. All prices for trios are the same (5k, 10k, 100k and 250k I think) and they all have the same protection amount (10, 15, 25, 35). All in all this looks very infringing. One funny thing is that you are given the option to buy holiday twice.

Storm may be the best bargain in the game. I have said this before. I avoided Storm on my main, but when the 50% June sale came, I bough and MU'd it on all three of my alts (yes, I have too many alts). For something like 30-40k crystals you can get very high Fire protection, which will save your bacon in battles.

 

Loam does make Storm obsolete. But if you could set your sights on any other kit besides Atlas...

 

Storm can last for a very long time. Well into M3 ranks before M3 kits bring Gismo paints like Clay and Zeus into battles. Only then is it truly time to retire Storm. The truth is you don't need it anymore. Firebird is NOT super common at M3 the way is is at M2. The big problem turrets become Twins, Isida (a BIG problem), and Vulcan (surprisingly since M0-M2 versions are largely ignored). you'll see equal parts Hammer, Ricochet, and Smoky too, all on drugs.

For me, I will buy the griffon d-a m2 that has 25% from rail, thunder, and shaft. Truly a worthy replacement for corrosion. Also, I will look for one that has smoky/Rico/isida protection.
