I just bought Dictator m2, and I love the feel

Viking has more health AND speed than dictator. There is no health vs speed trade off comparison, it is just overall inferior. I wonder why. Dictator may have an advantage in getting gold boxes in smaller maps, but in medium-large maps, it may never see the gold, being so slow. The height is an attribute that changes things, but is not necessarily an advantage. It helps with vulcan. How the devs justify a hull being both slow and low on armor is a mystery to me, but with all the patch updates, (ricochet buffs, smoky nerfs, vulcan nerfs) on things that are just slightly over or under powered, I hope they will remember the dictator. I have my fingers crossed for a patch update that says, "Dictator: Health Points Increased". OR a viking nerf. I kinda think that dictator is just right, and that the other mediums need a nerf. I like dictator, I just hate its inferiority to the others.

When i say update, i meant the in-game rebalance

I also feel that way about the hunter...rebalance ruined both hulls IMO

I was thinking about getting m2 dictator. is it good? i was thinking about using rico or vulcan with it. any ideas :huh: ?

Get it. It's pretty O.P. My friend has it, I tried it, it's so good. Just a few drugs, maybe. And make sure you use the right turret. Vulcan M2 would be fine, but I wouldn't do the Rico(unless it's M2).

 

Dictator is recommended for gold box, that's what makes it a little bit popular. But it's weight, strength and health is pretty good. A bit slow, so snipers and long range(vulcan, shaft, thunder, railgun) are good with it. But don't underestimate the power of a short range combo w/dicator. Rico, Firebird, Twins, etc. are all good.

This hull sucks. Too big, making it easier to knock off the aim, hard to aim lower targets, ugly turning speed and ugly speed, and it can get bugged too easily.  Only good for catching golds

My first match with Dictator M2 and I already caught a Gold box with it. Joined a Molotov DM with around a minute left and saw "Gold box will be dropped soon". I was lucky enough to spawn right next to the Gold box drop.

It's nice with high-damage turrets that suffer from impact force knocking off their aim, due to Dictator being the heavy hull with the most stability.

I enjoy all of this the speed,health,stats and height. The height is vey useful to catch golds I got 2 in one day :D

I absolutely hate it when my team is full of Dictators, they block everything.

My Smoky needs direct impact to deal damage so it's very annoying.

If you are camping that really won't be a problem, Dictator has a good amount of HP points.

If a dictator gets partially flipped, ie lying sideways, is it possible to get upright using recoil of railgun?

Okay, here's my take on dictator, it is large, has an offset turret mount and highly unstable.

To discuss turret compatibilities, i would not reccoment using any turret with a short cone angle, i.e freeze with the m1 alt that reduced cone size, simply because you will not inflict damage as much, best turret for dictator? There is none really, but dictator has a slight advantage when it comes to corner/camping, since its turret is offset mounted, u can lean out less and still damage the opponent. The only main advantage of this has more power and weight so can push a viking, however as often due to its shape you will more likely climb or 'lag' on the viking. Viking and hunter both are much stable than and have a central turret offset, and the turret mount is fairly low so that if you do use a cone angle reduction alteration, you still will hit decent damage.

From personal experiency, I only really use dictator with shaft/magnum, since the offset turret mount, i can peek out of an opening and fire without exposing much of myself, alt distator has a higher turret placement so with magnum and a certain angle, you can easily stand behing a road block and deal damage to incoming enemy tanks at ease.

The only points I agree with you on this are offset turret mount and it's weight and pushing power, and less exposure.

 

However, first obvious point it that magnum cannot rotate horizontally, which means you got to turn your tank to aim, which also means more exposure. But it has a vertical rotation, which means that you don't even need to expose your tank, part of your turret when behind small walls.

 

And for shaft, you probably might be easier to spot due to the height.

 

And when you use the term "unstable" for dictator, are you referring to how much easier it is to flip it than the other medium hulls? :huh:

Dictator may be good with Railgun, but definitely not Isida. Due to its height, with Isida you can't heal a tank when it's right in front of you, you need to back up slightly and then Isida's beam will be able to reach the tank. Railgun and Dictator is a powerful combination but slow, and Railgunners need speed more than armour, right?
