It's worth the purchase and thunder suits it perfectly. I wouldn't recommend using wasp m1 until colonel when m2 is available.

I'm getting mixed opinions on whether M1 Wasp/Fire will last..

Anyway, the only thing i'm concerned about is the fact that i'm a much larger target. This means more times I get hit when attempting to hide and more shots I take when flagging. Is the size of dicator really an issue?

Edit: Oh wow, an M0 dictator with a M1 Thunder actually did well. I was competing with lituenants in a 15 min Rio TDM and got 2nd place with ~340 points. The person in first was a drugging isida. The problem with the match though is that I only saw 2 M2's on the enemy team: both hornets. This doesn't invalidate my question though, i'm still asking.

Not necessarily. If you want cover, you will have to find one the right size. The turret you need to watch out for is shaft, cause of dictators large hitbox. Other then that, a pretty good hull imo.

@Loackie: M1 Firebird probably will not last you to M2, it does wear out quickly. I don't see many Lieutenants using it. But with M1 Thunder Wasp is just amazing! If you want another short range, Freeze is pretty cheap and will last you a while. But Wasp should last. I've got all the M1's I want, so I'm saving for Corrosion and I will MU it, hopefully to make my Wasp last. I'm mostly worried about long range turrets as since Wasp is the fastest yet weakest hull in the game; so you can run away from short ranged guns, and if you can't you're probably dead anyways. So get Tundra, Corrosion, or Cedar and you should be fine!

I myself was considering M1 and M2 Hornet, but a good paint is much cheaper and I get to keep the uniqueness of being a Waspy!

And Dictator is worth the purchase if it's your style. If it is your favorite medium hull, get it! You can be support for the attacking Hornets (I assume you play CTF) and since you have the extra height, you can shoot over your allies and hit your enemies. The best part is, if all the Hornets get wiped out, then so is their defense! The flag is yours (at least for a little while)!

Dictator is, at the moment, my favorite hull. I pair it with Shaft/Railgun, and it works beautifully.

1. Tall height- this lets you shoot above your teammates, assuming they're not using Dictator as well. This perk goes especially well with Shaft. For me, the extra hitbox is negliable, since if you are being hit as a Dictator, you're probably going to be hit as, say, a Wasp too, in most cases. The height is also great for getting Gold Boxes, since as long as you can get the back end underneath the Gold Box, no hull (short of an untimely Titan pushing you) will be able to steal it. Unless you're destroyed, but the health should be able to keep you alive provided you haven't been in prolonged combat.

2. Good health- Dictator can survive at the bare minimum one fully charged Shaft shot. You won't have to worry as much about enemy Shafts as long as you have a few health kits with you. It's also tougher than Hunter, so 1-on-1, you're probably going to win against Hunter. I think it has a little more HP than Viking, but I'm not sure. Correct me if I'm wrong.

3. Nice speed- Not quite as fast as Hunter, but it's still pretty decent. Better than Viking, I think. You won't be able to outrun a FireWasp, but it'll give you some breathing room.

4. Great maneuverability- Much better than Viking, and better than Hunter the last time I checked. Good for general traversing.

5. I like the look of it. It's very futuristic, especially at M3.

6. Not something you're going to capitalize on very often, but it's also one of the best hulls for ramming people thanks to the extended treads at the front. It won't push people very far (that's Titan's job), but it will disrupt their aim if they're on a incline.

Overall, I think Dictator is underrated. It might get more obsolete towards the later ranks (until Generalissimo), but it's still quite useful in the right hands.

^ Um my M1 ThunderWasp is simply amazing thank you :) All it needs is a MUed Corrosion to make it perfect!

I was just writing from personal experience. What i used to do was spend the bare minimum so as to be able to get the next upgrade as soon as i ranked. Unfortunately this meant playing with underpowered items. I would never repeat this error so that's why i try and advise otherwise when possible.

It's debatable, but i still think that buying dictator m1 in the meantime rather than sticking with wasp m1 is the better option. :)

I mostly play TDM's. Does this change anything?

I don't think it's an issue with heaviness; it's an issue with the shape. The turret is located on the upper part of the tank, so when you shoot to try to get yourself back upright, it's farther from the center of gravity and the recoil from your weapon therefore has less effect.

Good prevention would be to not get flipped over in the first place.

Its exactily the opposite! the more further it is from the center the more power but less movement !

It most likely is heaviness. Railgun has the most force in one shot in the game, but Ricochet might be more efficent. Flipping your tank from your side is a little like a second-class lever. Second class levers typically have a mechanical advantage of more than one, so leverage is an advantage.

Dictator M1 vs Hunter M1??

Other hulls I have are Wasp M1 and Mammoth M1, so I need a medium. Turrets are M1 Smoky, Ricochet, Firebird, and M0 Railgun.
