I think I'm going to wait to purchase the Medium Tank M1 kit (I actually have enough crystals to get it this second). According to the VLOG, the drugs will be free when the kit update comes out, so I save about 8750 crystals if I wait.

 

In the meantime, I can maybe grab something I like on Tankman's day. If I rank up quick, I can get M1 Thunder, which I know will be pretty useful.

 

I'm tempted to buy M1 Hunter, though; it seems really good (fast speed? yep. excellent armor? yep.) The issue is that I don't know if Dictator and Hunter are sufficiently different to warrant getting both at my current rank, since I need to start saving up for M2s pretty soon.

^The confusion is real. Rephrase that. It has two meanings, one being that we have all everything M1 except Thunder and Dictator, which means you don't like it or you have that combo M2. It also contradicts itself in other ways

@ Killer:  If you are trying to decide between Hunter and Thunder, I say go for the Thunder, definitely! Already works great on both hulls you already have (Wasp and Dictator), and you don't really need another hull.

 

Is the difference between Hunter and Dictator enough to warrant buying Hunter? Yes! (keep in mind, I own both) Dictator is pretty much a heavy hull, and Hunter is pretty much a light hull (more so at M2). Plus they just feel sooo different.  The problem will come when you start needing M2s though (I am facing it right now!). I really want M2 Dictator, but I am having to force myself to not so that I can get the things I really want. I like Hunter more for my medium hull, so I just have to get that and only that. If I had about 60k more than I do now, I would get it. To bad I don't, and so I simply can't afford it.

I'm sure M2 Dictator is a great hull, but I think M2 Viking is more or less superior (part of me died saying that), since the health difference is about 1 point, and it's much faster. Is there anything special (besides being unique, woohoo!) about M2 Dictator that would make it a better choice than M2 Viking?

I use my M2 Dictator as a drug hull similar to Viking, but mainly for mining. It's difficult to push a Dictator barring your way to getting the flag, and with some MUs it can have a pretty comparable amount of hp to M3 Viking. It unlocks earlier as well, in comparison to M2 Viking.

Oh god no dont buy m2, unless you are planning to use it with railgun and thunder and shaft, i regret having dictator m2, only works with shaft to me, and i intended to use it with freeze but it was terrible especially with lag, im saving for viking m2 and twins m2 and smoky m2, :D Viking owns this hull in my opinion, and i have come to realise that is true... At least having both is useful, so when update ruins either hull you just start using the other...

I would use it with Thunder and Smoky mostly, with some Firebird action too :D

 

Firebird works insanely well on Dictator, if you know how to handle it.

OK, my thoughts on the M1 Medium Tank kit:

 

REALLY. OP.

 

M1 Dictator can tank a huge amount of damage, and the extra height allows you to fire on enemies from the ground floor of Stadium.

M1 Railgun is a beast. Everything about it is awesome. Even M2 Hornet can be easily dealt with.

Paints are great too. Cedar makes Thunder not a big concern, Desert helps with Rico a lot, and Storm is weaker than the other two but still useful against Firebird.

 

It's very good against high ranks, and it's not even fair against lower ranks.

OK, after more practice with M1 Railgun, I really see why it was called Fear Machine in the old Tanki.

 

Still wondering why Dictator isn't allowed in the Star Series tournaments. I guess it would be overpowered if a team decided to stick Prodigi on it.
