You are kidding me.  I got TWO in a row on polygon yesterday with dictator M1.  Dictator still rules!

Fully MUed Sandstone > Fully MUed Corrosion

 

As a reporter, crystals are not a problem for me, so price is not a big issue. Besides, I think Sandstone looks a lot better than Corrosion.

-.- I own at least 1, I am sure. And 10% rail and 10% thunder (or 15% not sure) is not so good. I would rather get 30% against one gun, then 10% of 2.

Sandstone is in no way "dumbass".

 

Let's look at Sandstone's base protection stats:

5% Twins protection (can be upgraded to 8%)

14% Thunder protection (can be upgraded to 21%)

20% Railgun protection (can be upgraded to 30%)

15% Shaft protection (can be upgraded to 23%)

 

Let's look at Corrosion's base protection stats:

10% Railgun protection (can be upgraded to 15%)

15% Thunder protection (can be upgraded to 23%)

15% Shaft protection (can be upgraded to 23%)

 

Besides 1-2% less Thunder protection (which isn't enough to notice), Sandstone is arguably superior to Corrosion, since it has far more Railgun protection. The Twins protection doesn't help much, but it still counts.

You're paying about 24K for just a 5% increase in protection. I don't think it's worth it.

 

Another quality of Sandstone is its good camouflage in desert maps. Corrosion really doesn't blend in anywhere, although I have to admit it looks pretty cool.
