Its a great hull, but i hate the drifting.

Does it matter what direction you drive this hull? I heard somewhere that you should drive forwards due to hunters flat back.

No, but you will land faster.

Not really. I drive either way and have similar results. I tend to drive forward more with Thunder and Rico, and backward more with Fire. I just prefer to do it that way with this hull. With Wasp and Dictator, I drive backwards because of the rear-mounted turret, but with Hunter, as it's mounted in the middle, it doesn't really matter

I find it reliable with everything, I haven't gone back to hornet since. It would be nice a little faster, but the armour is way better

Is Hunter supposed to be good at taking jumps? I find it 100x better at taking jumps than Viking but I've never heard that Hunter is good for jumping

This is one of the if not the best looking hull in Tanki IMO. Too bad I havent Ranked in time to get it M3 :(

Hunter users are a minority in Tanki

 

I think Hunter users are smart thought , I choose it because I was looking for a balanced , and Hunter looked awesome. It became my first m1 hull.When I got to Captain I knew I wanted it m2 immediately. I freaking rocked with it , and got tons of golds with it.

 

I don't see too many Hunters in battles nowadays , but the one who do play with it are often leaders on the scorebord.

 

You only know the true power of Hunter if you use it , then you see how awesome and good it is.

m0, worst base, really long way to upgrade to m1

m1, high rank unlock, expensive

m2, worse than viking m2, really long way to upgrade to m3

m3, high rank unlock, expensive, bad maneuver (top speed and rotation speed not in harmony), not stable as weight is not enough (especially hammer and vulcan, beware at m4 of those turret)

 

m4, truly become gem, your crystal pocket big hole now already fixed :3

 

No wonder viking and hornet more popular.

I cannot make out what you say at the end but what i understood was that all these are the reasons why its an underrated hull. The only reason i would buy it is for light format clan battles :P

I know hunter is worst M0, that's probably why people suspect it's always bad.

Anyways I own with hunter m0 on my alt. With all the newbs xD can't wait for hunter M1

I own a fully upgraded Hunter M2, and it has been amazing since the day I bought it. Every penny spent on it was worth it. I own Viking M2 on an alt.... it is just not fun, not when you've experienced Hunter. Get Hunter, you won't be disappointed :)

it's one of the only 2 hulls i use, the other is hornet, but it's what id use if i didnt have hornet, it's pretty balanced, so i'd recommend it for anyone

I have a difficult time going base-to-base when capturing the flag. But the hull can take somewhat of a pounding for a while along the way.

Have it on test server, got m2 vulcan after nomad kit, it is so OP even with vulcan m2! But pretty light... thats the only weakness. Gotten flipped a few times, and can unflip myself with m2 vulc...

Yes Hunter M1 is great. I actually did not know that M1 Vik and M1 Hunter were about the same health until I saw this post  :P . Anyways, I have both Hunter and Viking M1 on my alt BorussiaDortmund_BVB and I like using Hunter a lot more. It has the health of M1Viking, but is a lot, lot more manuverable thanks to its drifting. M1 Vik feels somewhat stiff, but M1 Hunter is very manuverable, kind of like Hornet with less speed.
