Ricochet Problem

Ricochet is good weapon, with good stats. But the only problem is that when the plasma ball comes out it goes with slow speed. The enemies which are not very near keep moving and rico misses it every time. And if u play with majors and above their tanks speed is so fast that rico keeps missing. Also rico has very less ammo and takes more time to charge than the damage it does. Compared to the other short ranged weapon twin, it is way to under powered. The things that makes rico under powered is it speed and ammo. Rico is the only weapon which becomes more weak every time you upgrade it, is expensive and unlocks at high rank than many other weapons. So the idea of the rebalance was to to balance everything. If we exclude rico then we can say the game is balanced. Since it is the part of the game, we should either improve rico, nerf other weapons too or do another rebalance. As the Semyon says another rebalanced is planned, i say that it should come before micro upgrades. The stats need to be changed before we wait for another 1-2 years. 

Please do something asap

This is the problem we the ricochet users face.

I do agree with you, and there have been many topics made about this, but nothing will be done for now. It is planned that after the friends system and micro upgrades come out, tanki will start balancing the weapons. This could or couldn't mean that they will balance ricochet. When using Rico , don shoot from far because Rico is not a Snipe Gun . If you know how to use Rico , you wont have problem with it . Also Rico is good in Non supply Battle but sucks in Supply battle .

Anyway, people should learn how to use a gun by themselves, ask all the pros, most of them have learnt how to use it through experience in battles or through watching other people using it

-_- You don't get it. Say someone gets rico m2, then they have to use that gun to save up for another one which could take a long time. They can't just not use it because that could possibly be the only reasonable gun they have.

As you know that Rico is version 2 of Twins , so it not a snipe gun .

It would be pretty rare to find a Major without at least one hull upgrade and defensive paints, even if they are not a buyer.

They will also usually know how to use their hull/pain/turret combination to good effect.

If you don't know how to get the best out of your combination, I'd steer clear until you do...

I have seen many players of higher rank than you using Rico very effectively - in combination with the right paints, hulls and maps.

Iran is one map where it seems to be especially effective on most hulls; Canyon is another. I'm sure others could add more.

So I disagree with the idea that Rico needs to be boosted just because you are starting to find the game harder.

 

A Major will have about double your experience.

Think about what that means - they have spent as much time fighting skilled WO5s like you, as you have getting to WO5.

For every Sergeant or WO1 you destroyed, they took out WO5s, Lieutenants, Captains and higher.

 

We don't need to see your scores to know that you rocked at (or against) lower ranks. We all did. It was easy.

As I went through the WO ranks it was the same - the unskilled players drop out, and tanks get tougher.

I went from winning most of the time easily to having to learn new approaches.

I am a bit disappointed with the rebalance, tanki said they would make everything balanced, but they just made rico and shaft unbalanced. Rico was great weapon before rebalance, when I got to WO4, I immediately bought M1. I will never forget the days before rebalance :(

You should see FloatingDog play with Ricochet M2 with his Viking. Was in Polygon DM with him today. I topped him a few times but in the end he came out first, leaving me behind by like 30 kills.. Man that guy plays with Ricochet like no other. :D  :lol:
