Let's Discuss Supplies!

 Share

Recommended Posts

I know 2000mc for ages, I'm not a recent fan  Moreover, he's the one who left his group of friends after they supported a user who had wished 2000mc dies during the Paris attacks (and this user got banned for that), not the contrary. I'm a bit off-topic but I despise alternative facts, like others despise stupidity!

Alright, I'll avoid his literature but it would be better for everyone if mods would censor trolls instead of asking users to avoid them...

Congratulations on your Coming out! Now let him tell you that calling people "moaners" and "criers" is exactly what Trolls do. And since you like facts @Viking4s is not a Mod...

Unfortunately we are dealing with kids, so the strategy from the TO is to make them learn from their mistakes, rather than punish them all the time. A troll need an audience, if you ignore it, it will just talk to itself.

... but I am sure he would love to be one. Unfortunately spreading lies will not help. Who is a kid between me and you? Let's bet: if I am younger, I will leave TO, if you are younger you will replace the Press helmet with a Donkey helmet. Do you accept?

And by the way... don't you also have something in common with the banned user discussed above?

When you decide to pick on someone, make sure you are able to do it...

There is one troll only here:

Mmmm..... I assume the "supplies for free" are the ones you need to play hours for... not really for free...

Now please stop moaning and provide this forum with constructive arguments exempted from personal attacks on age and drugs use. Thank you

--> . I assume the "supplies for free" are the ones you need to play hours for... not really for free...

This is perfectly meaningful statement, not a troll.

If you think this is a troll, it just shows you haven't yet had a very good education.

A simple introductory course in Economics would have told you about the concept of 'opportunity cost'.

Google has a short and sweet definition: https://www.google.co.in/search?q=opportunity+cost+meaning&oq=opportunity+cost+meaning&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.6513j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

> the loss of other alternatives when one alternative is chosen.

Follow up on of the articles in the link for a better understanding of the concept.

Anyone who plays tanki for hours, is losing out on other activities that he would have done at the same time.

By playing 1 hour tanki to get my missions done and get "free" supplies, I "pay" with my time, time which could have been utilised elsewhere in battles I enjoy more or simply time I could have spent away from the computer and enjoy some real life things.

Also, you and Viking4s are the only ones who have recently not posted anything related to supplies in this topic.

We are forced to go off-topic to give you answers that you are unable to think of for yourself.

If you think anybody's posts here violate rules, feel free to PM a mod about it (Viking4s is not a mod).

You made a total of 11 posts so far. Pretty much all of them here. Could you point out one single constructive argument of yours, except calling others "trolls and moaners"? How does it feel to be reporting the thoughts of a banned player rather than elaborating on your own?

To give free-users the ability to enjoy the game without spending efforts nor money!

This reason doesn't seem to be enough as the main purpose of the project know as "Tanki Online" is not charity, but to produce as much profit as possible for the devs. Removing supplies would probably reduce their income quite a lot because supplies bought directly from the shop are one of the most popular items to be purchased with real money while representing at the same time one of the best deals available.

Removing supplies would probably reduce their income quite a lot because supplies bought directly from the shop are one of the most popular items to be purchased with real money while representing at the same time one of the best deals available.

They could probably reduce the effectiveness of supplies (as opposed to removing) and still maintain income/profit.

People will still buy them as they will still give some kind of advantage.

May even buy more as they might need more to maintain current level of "performance".

And those that dislike current supplies may find it more palatable as well...

It has been wrote before... Tons of Internet companies make millions, while their users enjoy services totally free of charge. Thousands games are Free to Play.

From Wikipedia:

1) Tanki Online is a multiplayer, browser-based, free-to-play game in the arcade tank simulator genre.

But the Free-to-Play page in Wikipedia actually says:

2) Criticism: in some multiplayer free-to-play games, players who are willing to pay for special items or downloadable content

may be able to gain a significant advantage over those playing for free. Some critics of such games call them "pay-to-win"

or "p2w" games. A common suggestion for avoiding pay-to-win is that payments should only be used to broaden the experience without affecting gameplay. For example, Dota 2 only allows the purchase of cosmetic items, meaning that a

"free-to-play player" will be on the same level as a player who has spent money on the game. This theory is that players who

do not pay for items would still increase awareness of it through word of mouth marketing, which ultimately benefits the game indirectly. In response to concerns about players using payments to gain an advantage in game, titles such as World of Tanks

have explicitly committed to not giving paying players any advantages over their non-paying peers, while allowing the users

buying the "gold" or "premium" ammo and expendables without paying the real money. However, features helping to grind

easier, such as purchasing a 100% training level or experience points, remain available for the paying customers only.

Wikipedia still reports...

3) World of Tanks is developed by the Belarusian-Cypriot company Wargaming. In 2012, Wargaming's revenue was declared

to be 217.9 million euro, with net profit of 6.1 million euro. The money gained by Wargaming almost exclusively came from

World of Tanks. In 2013, the microtransaction revenue of World of Tanks surpassed that of World of Warcraft, earning $372

million and ranking fourth highest amongst online game revenues. In June 2013, Wargaming stated that they now have 60

million registered users for World of Tanks.

And here is what Wargaming said about making it Free to Play:

4) All in-game components that are deemed to give a player an edge in a fight will no longer be available for purchase.

Wargaming will instead receive revenue through vanity items and superficial customizations. The company believes that the

loss of pay-to-win microtransactions will balance out with the free-to-win model. "The free-to-win concept is sure to enhance

customer loyalty and attract new players to the game. As for the company's economic efficiency, we expect no decline in

profits. If anything, the introduction of our free-to-win features will likely cause a decrease in the purchase of premium

ammunition. At the same time, however, players will use gold to buy credits, pay for premium account status, or purchase

premium vehicles. "

I never played World of Tanks. I quickly checked their Forum to verify and apparently what is written above is true. My goal is

not to shift users from here to there, but these are the same concepts I express.

So, dear drugger, read and learn. It is called Education... Once having some, feel free to argument, thanks.

It's true that the game may have benefited a lot more if Tanki had taken some steps towards becoming less p2w and it could have provided a better experience for its users as well.

Now, Tanki has analysts. If they can not see an existing opportunity for achieving a progress in this particular aspect, they are not competent. If they are doing their job well and there is no opportunity, it's even worse. Either way, more and more free users get screwed.

Not if they're smart and... adapt instead of complaining 24/7

read it before.  No more relevant today than it was 'yesterday'.

Some people just prefer battles with out supplies.

You have a choice not to listen to the complaining - so why do you care?

You got yourself a time-machine, went back to last year, changed your name to DejectedTomato, and got hunted for using supplies?

Also, FYI, it is DejectedTomato who has got a ban from the forum.

Kids nowadays, with their stories and lies...

Also, there is a separate topic here called Complaint Book.

Here we can post about our complains - lags, errors, mults, sabotage, moderators, chat violations etc.

According to you that topic should only be used to wish Mr. Cedric "Merry Christmas"?

Yeah... if only I could keep my mission-chain going by completing Pro_battles... If only...

But Devs nixed that, didn't they...

And... there are not thousands of others playing Pro-battles in evenings... not even 100s.

Not even 1 battle/server that's not parkour.

You could have at least put in an emoti... <_<

Then maybe - just maybe - I'd have some empathy for ya.

I'm not looking for empathy, I just want crybabies and lazy/stingy people to stop moaning about supplies in standard battles. Just this.

Then complain to the devs.

many would not be in normal battles if they could complete missions in Pro-battles.

I don't want to play normal battles. But at same time I'm not insulting players or their family members.

I may be running around collecting boxes and not contributing much to the battle sometimes - but - once again - complain to the Devs.

They set up this mess.

is just doing EVERYTHING that a banned-for-life user is telling him to do, LOL.

Including going to the Topic made by the same banned-for-life user and write some useless post just to revive it.

Arguments, name calling, Gifs and other material are slowly coming by Master to Slave through Skype and then here.

I thought dogs were loyal, but this guy... :D

The reason why people call supplies "drugs" is not only because it's shorter and quicker to type, but also because the very first supply box that was added (the repair kit) has a syringe symbol on all sides, which is why people saw it as a literal drug box. The symbol was later changed to a cross and, more recently, to a wrench, but the name stayed.

You should name them "Food Supplement for tanks". They make your tank Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger!

Who would like to have these in their garages without any money and time invested?

Not me because I don't enjoy winning if I had to use a lot of supplies to get the win. I feel a bit guilty, and I never feel like hitting the 'Continue' button in such matches after the battle is over.
